- Der Beaumont-Gletscher ist ein großer Gletscher an der Black-Küste des Palmerlands auf der Antarktischen Halbinsel. Er fließt in nordöstlicher Richtung zum südwestlichen Abschnitt des Hilton Inlet. Wissenschaftler der United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941) entdeckten und fotografierten ihn bei einem Überflug im Jahr 1940. Eine erneute Sichtung folgte bei der Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948) unter der Leitung des US-amerikanischen Polarforschers Finn Ronne. Dieser benannte den Gletscher nach der texanischen Stadt Beaumont, die in Verbindung mit der dort ansässigen Gesellschaft Daughters of the Republic of Texas die Forschungsreise unterstützt hatte. - Beaumont Glacier (72°2′S 62°0′W / 72.033°S 62.000°W) is a broad glacier flowing in a northeast direction to the southwest part of Hilton Inlet, on the east coast of Palmer Land. The United States Antarctic Service discovered and photographed it from the air in 1940. It was resighted in 1947 by the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition under Finn Ronne, who named it for the city of Beaumont, Texas, in recognition of the public support given to his expedition by this city and by the Tejas Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, at Beaumont.
