Mycetophagites is an extinct fungal genus of in the order Hypocreales. A monotypic genus, it contains the single species Mycetophagites atrebora. The genus is solely known from the Lower Cretaceous, Upper Albian stage (about 100 Ma), Burmese amber deposits in Myanmar. Mycetophagites is one of only two known instances of hyperfungal species known in the fossil record, and is the oldest to be described.
