  8. CorIlment Enrique Cardenas Bazdresch and Levy’s paper is a well-structured and researched piece that deals with the economy’s development from the late 1950suntil the crisis of 1982. The authors also review briefly the immediate postrevolutionary years and emphasize the role of the revolutionary ideology as the seed of subsequent populist periods that have repeated themselves sporadically. However, they review very deeply the policies of the Echeverria (1970-76) and Lopez Portillo (1976-82) administrations.
