Effect of invisible neutrino decay on neutrino oscillation at long baselines / Chatterjee, Animesh (CERN ; Ahmedabad, Phys. Res. Lab) ; Goswami, Srubabati (Ahmedabad, Phys. Res. Lab) ; Pan, Supriya (Ahmedabad, Phys. Res. Lab) ; Thacker, Paras (Ahmedabad, Phys. Res. Lab)
In this article, we study the effect of invisible neutrino decay of the third neutrino state for accelerator neutrino experiments at two different baselines, 1300 km with a liquid argon time projection chamber (LArTPC) detector (similar to DUNE) and 2588 km with a water Cherenkov detector (similar to P2O). Matter effect in presence of a sterile neutrino and resolution of the octant degeneracy using a liquid argon detector / Chatterjee, Animesh (Pittsburgh U. ; Ahmedabad, Phys. Res. Lab ; CERN) ; Goswami, Srubabati (Ahmedabad, Phys. Res. Lab) ; Pan, Supriya (Ahmedabad, Phys. Res. Lab ; Indian Inst. Tech., Gandhinagar)
Results from the experiments like LSND, and MiniBooNE hint towards the possible presence of an extra eV scale sterile neutrino. The addition of such a neutrino will significantly impact the standard three flavour neutrino oscillations; in particular, it can give rise to additional degeneracies due to new sterile parameters. [...]

Neutrino oscillations with atmospheric neutrinos at large liquid argon TPCs / Chatterjee, Animesh (CERN ; Ahmedabad, Phys. Res. Lab) ; De Roeck, Albert (CERN)
We propose to study atmospheric neutrino interactions with a unique event topology to distinguish neutrinos and anti-neutrinos using a liquid argon time projection chamber in an experiment such as DUNE. The detection of CC1P and CC0P events will allow to access neutrino oscillation physics complementary to accelerator based beam neutrinos. [...]

Heavy Neutral Lepton searches at an ICARUS-like detector using NuMI beam / Chatterjee, Animesh (Ahmedabad, Phys. Res. Lab ; CERN) ; Hernandez-Garcia, Josu (Valencia U., IFIC) ; De Roeck, Albert (CERN)
The discovery of non-zero neutrino masses points to the likely existence of multiple SM neutral fermions. [...]

Physics potential of the CERN-MEMPHYS neutrino oscillation project / Campagne, J E (Laboratoire de l'Accélérateur Linéaire, Univ. Paris-Sud, IN2P3/CNRS, Orsay, France) ; Maltoni, M (International Centre for Theoretical Physics) ; Mezzetto, Mauro (Istituto Nazionale Fisica Nucleare, Sezione di Padova) ; Schwetz, T (CERN)
We consider the physics potential of CERN based neutrino oscillation experiments consisting of a Beta Beam (BB) and a Super Beam (SPL) sending neutrinos to MEMPHYS, a 440 kt water Cerenkov detector at Frejus, at a distance of 130 km from CERN. The $\theta_{13}$ discovery reach and the sensitivity to CP violation are investigated, including a detailed discussion of parameter degeneracies and systematical errors. [...]

During 2004, four divisions of the American Physical Society commissioned a study of neutrino physics to take stock of where the field is at the moment and where it is going in the near and far future. Several working groups looked at various aspects of this vast field. [...]

Development and Physics Opportunities with LArTPC at Short Baseline Neutrino Experiment at Fermilab / Chatterjee, Animesh (Ahmedabad, Phys. Res. Lab ; CERN)
Liquid argon time-projection chamber (LArTPC) detectors have unique and powerful properties for neutrino physics and beyond-the-standard-model (BSM) searches. A LArTPC provides precise digital readout of charged particle trajectories, enabling a detailed picture of the aftermath of neutrino and BSM particle interactions. [...]

Leptonic Invariants, Neutrino Mass-Ordering and the Octant of $\theta_{23}$ / Branco, G.C. (Lisbon, IST ; CERN ; Lisbon, CFTP) ; Rebelo, M.N. (Lisbon, IST ; CERN ; Lisbon, CFTP) ; Silva-Marcos, J.I. (Lisbon, IST ; Lisbon, CFTP)
We point out that leptonic weak-basis invariants are an important tool for the study of the properties of lepton flavour models. In particular, we show that appropriately chosen invariants can give a clear indication of whether a particular lepton flavour model favours normal or inverted hierarchy for neutrino masses and what is the octant of $\theta_{23}$.
