Chronology of the three-body dissociation of $^8$He
/ Laurent, B. (Caen U.) ; Marqués, F.M. (Caen U.) ; Angulo, C. (Cathol. U. Louvain (main)) ; Ashwood, N.I. (Birmingham U.) ; Borge, M.J.G. (CSIC, Madrid) ; Bouchat, V. (U. Brussels (main)) ; Catford, W.N. ; Clarke, N.M. (Birmingham U.) ; Curtis, N. (Birmingham U.) ; Freer, M. (Birmingham U.) et al.
The space and time configurations of the dissociation of $^8$He into $^6$He+$n$+$n$, on C and Pb targets, have been explored simultaneously for the first time. The final-state interactions in the $n$-$n$ and $^6$He-$n$ channels are successfully described within a model that considers independent emission of neutrons from a Gaussian volume with a given lifetime. Study of multi-neutron emission in the $\beta$-decay of $^{11}$Li
/ Delaunay, F. (Caen U.) ; Achouri, N.L. (Caen U.) ; Algora, A. (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Assie, M. (Orsay, IPN) ; Balibrea, J. (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Banerjee, K. (Calcutta, VECC) ; Bhattacharya, C. (Calcutta, VECC) ; Borge, M.J.G. (CERN ; Madrid, Inst. Estructura Materia) ; Cano-Ott, D. (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Fernandez-Domınguez, B. (Santiago de Compostela U.) et al.
The kinematics of two-neutron emission following the $\beta$-decay of $^{11}$Li was investigated for the first time by detecting the two neutrons in coincidence and by measuring their angle and energy. An array of liquid-scintillator neutron detectors was used to reject cosmic-ray and $\gamma$-ray backgrounds by pulse-shape discrimination. [...]

First Exploration of Neutron Shell Structure Below Lead and Beyond $\boldsymbol{N=126}$
/ Tang, T.L. (Argonne) ; Kay, B.P. (Argonne) ; Hoffman, C.R. (Argonne) ; Schiffer, J.P. (Argonne) ; Sharp, D.K. (Manchester U.) ; Gaffney, L.P. (CERN) ; Freeman, S.J. (Manchester U.) ; Mumpower, M.R. ; Arokiaraj, A. ; Baader, E.F. (CERN) et al.
The nuclei below lead but with more than 126 neutrons are crucial to an understanding of the astrophysical $r$-process in producing nuclei heavier than $A\sim190$. Despite their importance, the structure and properties of these nuclei remain experimentally untested as they are difficult to produce in nuclear reactions with stable beams. [...]

SoLid: A short baseline reactor neutrino experiment
/ SoLid Collaboration
The SoLid experiment, short for Search for Oscillations with a Lithium-6 detector, is a new generation neutrino experiment which tries to address the key challenges for high precision reactor neutrino measurements at very short distances from a reactor core and with little or no overburden. The primary goal of the SoLid experiment is to perform a precise measurement of the electron antineutrino energy spectrum and flux and to search for very short distance neutrino oscillations as a probe of eV-scale sterile neutrinos. The excited states of unstable $^{20}$O were investigated via $\gamma$-ray spectroscopy following the $^{19}$O$(d,p)^{20}$O reaction at 8 $A$MeV. By exploiting the Doppler Shift Attenuation Method, the lifetime of the 2$^+_2$ and 3$^+_1$ states were firmly established. [...]
