The Bs -> Ds pi and Bs -> Ds K selections / Borel, J ; Nicolas, L ; Schneider, O ; Van Hunen, J
The decay channels Bs->Dspi and Bs->DsK will be used to extract the physics parameters $\Delta m_s$, $\Delta\Gamma_s$ and $\gamma + \phi_s$. Simulation studies based on Monte Carlo samples produced in 2004 and 2005 show that a total of 140k Bs->Dspi and 6.2k Bs->DsK events are expected to be triggered, reconstructed and selected in $2fb^{-1}$ of data ($10^7s$ of data taking at a luminosity of $2\times 10^{32}\unit{cm^{-2}s^{-1}}$). Reconstruction of the decay modes $B^{0}_{d} \to D^{pm}_{d}\pi^{mp}$, $B^{0}_{s} \to D^{-}_{s}\pi^{+}$, and $B^{0}_{s} \to D^{\pm}_s K^{\mp}$ at LHCb / Gligorov, Vladimir V (Glasgow U.)
This note describes a unified approach to the reconstruction of the decay modes B0->D+pi-, Bs->Ds-pi+, and Bs->Ds+K- within the DC06 simulation framework for LHCb. The expected signal yield after the offline selection and the first-level hardware trigger in 2 fb-1 of data is (1.23 +- 0.08)*10^6 events for B0->D+pi-, (1.7 +- 0.5)*10^5 for Bs->Ds-pi+, and (1.4 +- 0.5)* 10^4 for Bs->Ds+K-..
