Study of energy response and resolution of the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter to hadrons of energies from 16 to 30 GeV / Abdallah, Jalal (Texas U., Arlington) ; Angelidakis, Stylianos (Athens U.) ; Arabidze, Giorgi (Michigan State U., East Lansing (main)) ; Atanov, Nikolay (Dubna, JINR) ; Bernhard, Johannes (CERN) ; Bonnefoy, Romeo (Clermont-Ferrand U.) ; Bossio, Jonathan (McGill U.) ; Bouabid, Ryan (U. Chicago (main)) ; Carrio, Fernando (Valencia U.) ; Davidek, Tomas (Charles U.) et al.
Three spare modules of the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter were exposed to test beams from the Super Proton Synchrotron accelerator at CERN in 2017. The measurements of the energy response and resolution of the detector to positive pions and kaons and protons with energy in the range 16 to 30 GeV are reported. [...]

Muon reconstruction and identification efficiency in ATLAS using the full Run 2 $pp$ collision data set at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV / ATLAS Collaboration
This article documents the muon reconstruction and identification efficiency obtained by the ATLAS experiment for 139 fb$^{-1}$ of $pp$ collision data at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV collected between 2015 and 2018 during Run 2 of the LHC. The increased instantaneous luminosity delivered by the LHC over this period required a reoptimisation of the criteria for the identification of prompt muons. [...]

Jet energy scale and resolution measured in proton–proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
Jet energy scale and resolution measurements with their associated uncertainties are reported for jets using 36-81 fb$^{-1}$ of proton-proton collision data with a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. Jets are reconstructed using two different input types: topo-clusters formed from energy deposits in calorimeter cells, as well as an algorithmic combination of charged-particle tracks with those topo-clusters, referred to as the ATLAS particle-flow reconstruction method. [...]

Measurements of the Higgs boson inclusive and differential fiducial cross sections in the 4$\ell$ decay channel at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV / ATLAS Collaboration
Inclusive and differential fiducial cross sections of the Higgs boson are measured in the $H \to ZZ^{*} \to 4\ell$ ($\ell = e,\mu$) decay channel. The results are based on proton$-$proton collision data produced at the Large Hadron Collider at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV and recorded by the ATLAS detector from 2015 to 2018, equivalent to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb$^{-1}$. Search for single top-quark production via flavour changing neutral currents at 8 TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
A search for single top-quark production via flavour changing neutral current processes from gluon plus up- or charm--quark initial states in proton--proton collisions at the LHC is presented. Data collected with the ATLAS detector in 2012 at a centre-of-mass energy of $8\;\mbox{TeV}$ and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $20.3\;\mbox{fb}^{-1}$ are used. [...]

We describe a fully GPU-based implementation of the first level trigger for the upgrade of the LHCb detector, due to start data taking in 2021. We demonstrate that our implementation, named Allen, can process the 40 Tbit/s data rate of the upgraded LHCb detector and perform a wide variety of pattern recognition tasks. [...]

Combination of inclusive top-quark pair production cross-section measurements using ATLAS and CMS data at $\sqrt{s}= 7$ and 8 TeV / ATLAS Collaboration
A combination of measurements of the inclusive top-quark pair production cross-section performed by ATLAS and CMS in proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV at the LHC is presented. The cross-sections are obtained using top-quark pair decays with an opposite-charge electron-muon pair in the final state and with data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of about 5 fb$^{-1}$ at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV and about 20 fb$^{-1}$ at $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV for each experiment. Test of the universality of $\tau$ and $\mu$ lepton couplings in $W$-boson decays with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
The Standard Model of particle physics encapsulates our current best understanding of physics at the smallest scales. A fundamental axiom of this theory is the universality of the couplings of the different generations of leptons to the electroweak gauge bosons. [...]

Measurement of single top-quark production in association with a W boson in the single-lepton channel at $\sqrt{s} = 8\,\text {TeV}$ with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
The production cross-section of a top quark in association with a $W$ boson is measured using proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 8$ TeV. The dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 20.2 fb$^{-1}$, and was collected in 2012 by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. [...]

Search for charged-lepton-flavour violation in Z-boson decays with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
Leptons with essentially the same properties apart from their mass are grouped into three families (or flavours). The number of leptons of each flavour is conserved in interactions, but this is not imposed by fundamental principles. [...]
