A Search for Resonant Higgs-Pair Production in the bbbb final state / Falla, R (UCL)
A search for TeV-scale resonances decaying to hh->bbbb is performed in 19.5 fb^-1 of proton-proton collisions at sqrt(s) = 8 TeV data, recorded by ATLAS in 2012. The decay of each electroweak-scale boson is reconstructed from a pair of b-tagged jets, clustered with the anti-kT jet algorithm with R= 0.4, that have low angular separation and form a dijet with pT > 200 GeV. [...]

Quality of Jet Measurements and Impact on a Search for New Physics at CMS / Schröder, Matthias (Hamburg U.)
The search for new physics beyond the Standard Model is one of the primary enterprises inparticle physics today. Many models predict the production of new, coloured particles atthe LHC. [...]

LHCb; LHCb Jet Reconstruction

The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is the most powerful particle accelerator in the world. It has been designed to collide proton beams at an energy up to 14 TeV in the center of mass. In 2011, the data taking was done with a center of mass energy of 7 TeV, the instant luminosity has reached values greater than $4 \times 10^{32} cm^{-2} s^{-1}$ and the integrated luminosity reached the value of 1.02 $fb^{-1}$ on the LHCb. The jet reconstruction is fundamental to observe events that can be used to test pertubative QCD (pQCD). It also provides a way to observe standard model channels and searches for new physics like SUSY. The anti-kt algorithm is a jet reconstruction algorithm that is based on the distance of the particles on the space $\eta \times \phi$ and on the transverse momentum of particles. To maximize the energy resolution all information about the trackers and the calorimeters are used on the LHCb experiment to create objects called particle flow objects that are used as input to anti-kt algorithm. The LHCb is specially interesting for jets studies because its $eta$ region is complementary to the others main experiments on LHC. We will present the first results of jet reconstruction using 2011 LHCb data.
