Measurement of the 160Gd(n, γ) cross section at n_TOF and its medical implications / n_TOF Collaboration
Neutron-capture reactions on gadolinium isotopes play an important role in several fields of physics, in particular in nuclear Astrophysics for the understanding of the nucleosynthesis of heavy elements (beyond iron) in stars via the s- and r-processes [1] and in nuclear technology. Another important application of gadolinium is linked to the production of terbium, that offers a set of clinically interesting isotopes for the ranostics, characterized by complementary physical decay characteristics. Overview of the dissemination of n_TOF experimental data and resonance parameters / nTOF Collaboration
The n_TOF neutron time-of-flight facility at CERN is used for nuclear data measurements. The n_TOF Collaboration works closely with the Nuclear Reaction Data Centres (NRDC) network to disseminate the experimental data through the international EXFOR library. [...]

First high resolution measurement of neutron capture resonances in 176Yb at the n_TOF CERN facility / n_TOF Collaboration
Several international agencies recommend the study of new routes and new facilities for producing radioisotopes with application to nuclear medicine. $^{177}$Lu is a versatile radioisotope used for therapy and diagnosis (theranostics) of cancer with good success in neuroendocrine tumours that is being studied to be applied to a wider range of tumours. Destruction of the cosmic $\gamma$-ray emitter $^{26}$Al in massive stars: Study of the key $^{26}$Al$(n,p)$ reaction / n_TOF Collaboration
The  $^{26}$Al$(n,p)$ $^{26}$Mg reaction is the key reaction impacting on the abundances of the cosmic  γ -ray emitter  $^{26}$Al  produced in massive stars and impacts on the potential pollution of the early solar system with  $^{26}$Al  by asymptotic giant branch stars. We performed a measurement of the  $^{26}$Al$(n,p)$ $^{26}$Mg  cross section at the high-flux beam line EAR-2 at the n_TOF facility (CERN). [...]

Compton imaging for enhanced sensitivity (n,γ) cross section TOF experiments: Status and prospects / n_TOF Collaboration
Radiative neutron-capture cross sections are of pivotal importance in many fields such as nucle-osynthesis studies or innovative reactor technologies. A large number of isotopes have been measured with high accuracy, but there are still a large number of relevant isotopes whose cross sections could not be experimentally determined yet, at least with sufficient accuracy and completeness, owing to limitations in detection techniques, sample production methods or in the facilities themselves. In the context of the HYMNS (High-sensitivitY Measurements of key stellar Nucleo-Synthesis reactions) project over the last six years we have developed a novel detection technique aimed at background suppression in radiative neutron-capture time-of-flight measurements. Characterisation of the n_TOF 20 m beam line at CERN with the new spallation target / n_TOF Collaboration
The n_TOF facility hosts CERN’s pulsed neutron source, comprising two beam lines of different flight paths and one activation station. It is based on a proton beam delivered by the PS accelerator impinging on a lead spallation target. [...]

$^7 \text{Be(n,} \alpha)$ and $^7 \text{Be(n,p)}$ cross-section measurement for the cosmological lithium problem at the n_TOF facility at CERN / Barbagallo, M (CERN) ; Colonna, N ; Aberle, O (CERN) ; Andrzejewski, J ; Audouin, L ; Bécares, V ; Bacak, M ; Balibrea, J ; Barros, S ; Bečvář, F et al. /n_TOF
The Cosmological Lithium Problem refers to the large discrepancy between the abundance of primordial $^7$Li predicted by the standard theory of Big Bang Nucleosynthesis and the value inferred from the so-called “Spite plateau” in halo stars. A possible explanation for this longstanding puzzle in Nuclear Astrophysics is related to the incorrect estimation of the destruction rate of $^7$Be, which is responsible for the production of 95% of primordial Lithium. Measurement of the $^{154}$Gd(n,$\gamma$) cross section and its astrophysical implications / n_TOF Collaboration
The neutron capture cross section of $^{154}$Gd was measured from 1 eV to 300 keV in the experimental area located 185 m from the CERN n\_TOF neutron spallation source, using a metallic sample of gadolinium, enriched to 67$\%$ in $^{154}$Gd. The capture measurement, performed with four C$_{6}$D$_{6}$ scintillation detectors, has been complemented by a transmission measurement performed at the GELINA time-of-flight facility (JRC-Geel), thus minimising the uncertainty related to sample composition.
