(Leuven U.) ; Ruiz, R.F.Garcia (Leuven U.) ; Goriely, S. (Brussels U.) ; Heylen, H. (Leuven U.) ; Kowalska, M. (CERN) ; Neugart, R. (Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst. ; Mainz U., Inst. Kernchem.) et al.
We report on the measurement of optical isotope shifts for $^{38,39,42,44,46\text{-}51}$K relative to $^{47}$K from which changes in the nuclear mean square charge radii across the N=28 shell closure are deduced. The investigation was carried out by bunched-beam collinear laser spectroscopy at the CERN-ISOLDE radioactive ion-beam facility. [...]

Laser spectroscopy of neutron-rich tin isotopes: A discontinuity in charge radii across the $N=82$ shell closure
/ Gorges, C (Darmstadt, Tech. Hochsch.) ; Rodríguez, L V (Orsay, IPN) ; Balabanski, D L (Bucharest, IFIN-HH) ; Bissell, M L (Manchester U.) ; Blaum, K (Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst.) ; Cheal, B (Liverpool U.) ; Garcia Ruiz, R F (Leuven U. ; CERN ; Manchester U.) ; Georgiev, G (Orsay, IPN) ; Gins, W (Leuven U.) ; Heylen, H (Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst. ; CERN) et al.
The change in mean-square nuclear charge radii $\delta \left \langle r^{2} \right \rangle$ along the even-A tin isotopic chain $^{108-134}$Sn has been investigated by means of collinear laser spectroscopy at ISOLDE/CERN using the atomic transitions $5p^2\ ^1S_0 \rightarrow 5p6\ s^1P_1$ and $5p^2\ ^3P_0 \rightarrow 5p6s^3 P_1$. With the determination of the charge radius of $^{134}$Sn and corrected values for some of the neutron-rich isotopes, the evolution of the charge radii across the $N=82$ shell closure is established. Quadrupole moments of odd-A $^{53−63}$Mn: Onset of collectivity towards N = 40
/ Babcock, C (U. Liverpool (main) ; CERN) ; Heylen, H (Leuven U.) ; Bissell, M L (Manchester U.) ; Blaum, K (Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst.) ; Campbell, P (Manchester U.) ; Cheal, B (U. The spectroscopic quadrupole moments of the odd–even Mn isotopes between N=28 and N=38 have been measured using bunched-beam collinear laser spectroscopy at ISOLDE, CERN. In order to increase sensitivity to the quadrupole interaction, the measurements have been done using a transition in the ion rather than in the atom, with the additional advantage of better spectroscopic efficiency. Frequency-comb based collinear laser spectroscopy of Be for nuclear structure investigations and many-body QED tests
/ Krieger, A ; Nörtershäuser, W ; Geppert, Ch ; Blaum, K ; Bissell, M L ; Frömmgen, N ; Hammen, M ; Kreim, K ; Kowalska, M (CERN) ; Krämer, J et al.
Absolute transition frequencies of the $2s\,^2{\rm{S}}_{1/2}$ $\rightarrow$ $2p\,^2{\rm{P}}_{1/2,3/2}$ transitions in Be$^+$ were measured with a frequency comb in stable and short-lived isotopes at ISOLDE (CERN) using collinear laser spectroscopy. Quasi-simultaneous measurements in copropagating and counterpropagating geometry were performed to become independent from acceleration voltage determinations for Doppler-shift corrections of the fast ion beam.
