Investigation of the Boron removal effect induced by 5.5 MeV electrons on highly doped EPI- and Cz-silicon / RD50 Collaboration
This study focuses on the properties of the B$_\text{i}$O$_\text{i}$ (interstitial Boron~-~interstitial Oxygen) and C$_\text{i}$O$_\text{i}$ (interstitial Carbon~-~interstitial Oxygen) defect complexes by \SI{5.5}{\mega\electronvolt} electrons in low resistivity silicon. Two different types of diodes manufactured on p-type epitaxial and Czochralski silicon with a resistivity of about 10~$\Omega\cdot$cm were irradiated with fluence values between \SI{1e15}{\per□\centi\meter} and \SI{6e15}{\per□\centi\meter} [...]

Bistability of the BiOi complex and its implications on evaluating the “acceptor removal” process in p-type silicon / Besleaga, C. (Bucharest, Nat. Inst. Mat. Sci.) ; Kuncser, A. (Bucharest, Nat. Inst. Mat. Sci.) ; Nitescu, A. (Bucharest, Nat. Inst. Mat. Sci.) ; Kramberger, G. (Stefan Inst., Ljubljana) ; Moll, M. (CERN) ; Pintilie, I. (Bucharest, Nat. Inst. Mat. Sci.)
The dependencies of the B$_{i}$O$_{i}$ defect concentration on doping, irradiation fluence and particle type in p-type silicon diodes have been investigated. We evidenced that large data scattering occurs for fluences above $10^{12}$ 1 MeV neutrons/cm$^2$, becoming significant larger for higher fluences. [...]

Extended Analysis of Neutrino-Dark Matter Interactions with Small-Scale CMB Experiments / Brax, Philippe (IPhT, Saclay ; CERN) ; van de Bruck, Carsten (Sheffield U.) ; Di Valentino, Eleonora (Sheffield U.) ; Giarè, William (Sheffield U.) ; Trojanowski, Sebastian (Warsaw, Copernicus Astron. Ctr. ; NCBJ, Warsaw)
We explore an extension of the standard $\Lambda$CDM model by including an interaction between neutrinos and dark matter, and making use of the ground based telescope data of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) from the Atacama Cosmology Telescope (ACT). An indication for a non-zero coupling between dark matter and neutrinos (both assuming a temperature independent and $T^2$ dependent cross-section) is obtained at the 1$\sigma$ level coming from the ACT CMB data alone and when combined with the Planck CMB and Baryon Acoustic Oscillations (BAO) measurements. Performance of a spaghetti calorimeter prototype with tungsten absorber and garnet crystal fibres / An, Liupan (CERN) ; Auffray, Etiennette (CERN) ; Betti, Federico (CERN) ; Dall'Omo, Frederik (CERN) ; Gascon, David (ICC, Barcelona U.) ; Golutvin, Andrey (Imperial Coll., London) ; Guz, Yury (Serpukhov, IHEP) ; Kholodenko, Sergey (Serpukhov, IHEP) ; Martinazzoli, Loris (CERN ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; De Cos, José Mazorra (Valencia U., IFIC) et al.
A spaghetti calorimeter (SPACAL) prototype with scintillating crystal fibres was assembled and tested with electron beams of energy from 1 to 5 GeV. The prototype comprised radiation-hard Cerium-doped Gd$_3$Al$_2$Ga$_3$O$_{12}$ (GAGG:Ce) and Y$_3$Al$_5$O$_{12}$ (YAG:Ce) embedded in a pure tungsten absorber. [...]

We report on the design and characterization of an antiproton deceleration beamline, based on a pulsed drift tube, for the PUMA experiment at the Antimatter Factory at CERN. The design has been tailored to high-voltage (100 kV) and ultra-high vacuum (below $10^{-10}$ mbar) conditions. [...]

Measurements of b-jet Nuclear Modification Factors in pPb and PbPb Collisions with CMS / Jung, Kurt (Purdue U.) /for the CMS collaboration
We present measurements of the nuclear modification factors RAA and RpA(PYTHIA) of b jets in lead-lead and proton-lead collisions, respectively, using the CMS detector. Jets from b-quark fragmentations are found by exploiting the long lifetime of the b-quark through tagging methods using distributions of the secondary vertex displacement. [...]

Performance of a prototype TORCH time-of-flight detector / Bhasin, S. (Bristol U. ; Bath U.) ; Blake, T. (Warwick U.) ; Brook, N.H. (Bath U.) ; Cicala, M.F. (Warwick U.) ; Conneely, T. TORCH is a novel time-of-flight detector, designed to provide charged particle identification of pions, kaons and protons in the momentum range 2-20 GeV/c over a 9.5 m flight path. A detector module, comprising a 10mm thick quartz plate, provides a source of Cherenkov photons which propagate via total internal reflection to one end of the plate. [...]

Performance of a triple-GEM detector with capacitive-sharing 3-coordinate (X–Y–U)-strip anode readout / Gnanvo, Kondo (Jefferson Lab) ; Lee, Seung Joon (Jefferson Lab) ; Mehl, Bertrand (CERN) ; de Oliveira, Rui (CERN) ; Weisenberger, Andrew (Jefferson Lab)
The concept of capacitive-sharing readout, described in detail in a previous study, offers the possibility for the development of high-performance three-coordinates (X-Y-U)-strip readout for Micro Pattern Gaseous Detectors (MPGDs) using simple standard PCB fabrication techniques. Capacitive-sharing (X-Y-U)-strip readout allows simultaneous measurement of the Cartesian coordinates x and y of the position of the particles together with a third coordinate u along the diagonal axis in a single readout PCB.
