Chiral Effective Theory of Dark Matter Direct Detection / Bishara, Fady (Oxford U., Theor. Phys.) ; Brod, Joachim (Dortmund U.) ; Grinstein, Benjamin (UC, San Diego) ; Zupan, Jure (CERN ; Cincinnati U.)
We present the effective field theory for dark matter interactions with the visible sector that is valid at scales of O(1 GeV). Starting with an effective theory describing the interactions of fermionic and scalar dark matter with quarks, gluons and photons via higher dimension operators that would arise from dimension-five and dimension-six operators above electroweak scale, we perform a nonperturbative matching onto a heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory that describes dark matter interactions with light mesons and nucleons. From quarks to nucleons in dark matter direct detection / Bishara, Fady (Oxford U., Theor. Phys.) ; Brod, Joachim (Tech. U., Dortmund (main)) ; Grinstein, Benjamin (UC, San Diego) ; Zupan, Jure (CERN ; Cincinnati U.)
We provide expressions for the nonperturbative matching of the effective field theory describing dark matter interactions with quarks and gluons to the effective theory of nonrelativistic dark matter interacting with nonrelativistic nucleons. We give the leading and subleading order expressions in chiral counting. [...]

DirectDM: a tool for dark matter direct detection / Bishara, Fady (Oxford U., Theor. Phys.) ; Brod, Joachim (Tech. U., Dortmund (main)) ; Grinstein, Benjamin (UC, San Diego) ; Zupan, Jure (Cincinnati U. ; CERN)
We provide a Mathematica package, DirectDM, that takes as input the Wilson coefficients of the relativistic effective theory describing the interactions of dark matter with quarks, gluons and photons, and matches it onto an effective theory describing the interactions of dark matter with neutrons and protons. Contact interactions in D-brane models / Antoniadis, Ignatios (CERN) ; Benakli, K. (CERN ; McGill U.) ; Laugier, A. (Ecole Polytechnique)
We compute the tree-level four-point scattering amplitudes in string models where matter fields live on D-brane intersections. Extracting the contribution of massless modes, we are left with dimension-six four-fermion operators which in general receive contributions from three different sources: exchange of massive Kaluza--Klein excitations, winding modes and string oscillator states. MSSM Higgs with dimension-six operators / Antoniadis, I. (CERN ; Ecole Polytechnique, CPHT) ; Dudas, E. (Ecole Polytechnique, CPHT ; Orsay, LPT) ; Ghilencea, D.M. (CERN ; Ecole Polytechnique, CPHT) ; Tziveloglou, P. (CERN ; Cornell U., Phys. Dept.)
We investigate an extension of the MSSM Higgs sector by including the effects of all dimension-five and dimension-six effective operators and their associated supersymmetry breaking terms. The corrections to the masses of the neutral CP-even and CP-odd Higgs bosons due to the d=5 and d=6 operators are computed. [...]

We perform a general analysis of the R-parity conserving dimension-five operators that can be present beyond the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. Not all these operators are actually independent. [...]

Charm in Deep-Inelastic Scattering / Ball, Richard D. (U. Edinburgh, Higgs Ctr. Theor. Phys. ; CERN) ; Bonvini, Marco (Oxford U., Theor. Phys.) ; Rottoli, Luca (Oxford U., Theor. Phys.)
We show how to extend systematically the FONLL scheme for inclusion of heavy quark mass effects in DIS to account for the possible effects of an intrinsic charm component in the nucleon. We show that when there is no intrinsic charm, FONLL is equivalent to S-ACOT to any order in perturbation theory, while when an intrinsic charm component is included FONLL is identical to ACOT, again to all orders in perturbation theory. Constraints on the trilinear Higgs coupling from vector boson fusion and associated Higgs production at the LHC / Bizon, Wojciech (Oxford U., Theor. Phys.) ; Gorbahn, Martin (Liverpool U., Dept. Math.) ; Haisch, Ulrich (CERN ; Oxford U., Theor. Phys.) ; Zanderighi, Giulia (CERN ; Oxford U., Theor. Phys.)
We examine the constraints on the trilinear Higgs coupling $\lambda$ that originate from associated ($Vh$) and vector boson fusion (VBF) Higgs production in $pp$ collisions in the context of the Standard Model effective field theory. The 1-loop contributions to $pp \to V h$ and $pp \to jj h$ that stem from insertions of the dimension-6 operator $O_6 = - \lambda \left (H^\dagger H \right )^3$ are calculated and combined with the ${\cal O} (\lambda)$ corrections to the partial decay widths of the Higgs boson.
