Improved search for two body muon decay ${\mu}^+{\rightarrow}e^+X_H$ / PIENU Collaboration
Charged lepton flavor violating muon decay ${\mu}^+{\rightarrow}e^+X_H$, where $X_H$ is a massive neutral boson, was sought by searching for extra peaks in the muon decay ${\mu}^+{\rightarrow}e^+{\nu}\bar{\nu}$ energy spectrum in the $m_{X_H}$ mass region $47.8-95.1$ MeV/$c^2$. No signal was found and 90% confidence level upper limits were set on the branching ratio ${\Gamma}({\mu}^+{\rightarrow}e^+X_H)/{\Gamma}({\mu}^+{\rightarrow}e^+{\nu}\bar{\nu})$ at the level of $10^{-5}$ for this region..

Search for Heavy Neutrinos in $\pi \to \mu\nu$ Decay / PIENU Collaboration
Heavy neutrinos were sought in pion decays $\pi^+ \rightarrow \mu^+ \nu$ by examining the observed muon energy spectrum for extra peaks in addition to the expected peak for a massless neutrino. No evidence for heavy neutrinos was observed. [...]

Search for the rare decays $\pi^+ \to \mu^+\nu_\mu\nu\bar\nu$ and $\pi^+ \to e^+\nu_e\nu\bar\nu$ / PIENU Collaboration
The rare pion decays ${\pi}^+{\rightarrow}{\mu}^+{\nu}_{\mu}{\nu}\bar{\nu}$ and ${\pi}^+{\rightarrow}e^+{\nu}_{e}{\nu}\bar{\nu}$ are allowed in the Standard Model but highly suppressed. These decays were searched for using data from the PIENU experiment. [...]

Nuclear mass measurements of isotopes are key to improving our understanding of nuclear structure across the chart of nuclides, in particular for the determination of the appearance or disappearance of nuclear shell closures. We present high-precision mass measurements of neutron-rich Ca, Ti and V isotopes performed at the TITAN and LEBIT facilities. [...]

A system for determining the purity of liquid krypton employed in the NA62 rare kaon decay experiment at CERN was developed based on the use of a time projection chamber. The attenuation of drifting ionization electrons from absorption of 511 keV gamma rays in liquid krypton was measured to estimate the purity. [...]

Fast-switching magnet serving a spallation-driven ultracold neutron source / Ahmed, S. (Manitoba U.) ; Altiere, E. (U. British Columbia (main)) ; Andalib, T. (Manitoba U.) ; Barnes, M.J. A fast-switching, high-repetition-rate magnet and power supply have been developed for and operated at TRIUMF, to deliver a proton beam to the new ultracold neutron (UCN) facility. The facility possesses unique operational requirements: a time-averaged beam current of 40~$\mu$A with the ability to switch the beam on or off for several minutes. [...]

Design and performance of a novel low energy multispecies beamline for an antihydrogen experiment / ALPHA Collaboration
The ALPHA Collaboration, based at the CERN Antiproton Decelerator, has recently implemented a novel beamline for low-energy ($\lesssim$ 100 eV) positron and antiproton transport between cylindrical Penning traps that have strong axial magnetic fields. Here, we describe how a combination of semianalytical and numerical calculations were used to optimise the layout and design of this beamline. [...]

(TRIUMF ; British Columbia U. ; Western Cape U. ; Zululand U.) ; Bhattacharjee, S.S. (TRIUMF) ; Bildstein, V. (Guelph U.) et al.
The half-life of the superallowed Fermi $\beta^+$ emitter $^{14}$O was determined to high precision via a direct $\beta$ counting experiment performed at the Isotope Separator and Accelerator (ISAC) facility at TRIUMF. The result, $T_{1/2}$($^{14}$O) = 70619.2(76) ms, is consistent with, but is more precise than, the world average obtained from 11 previous measurements. [...]
