Report from Working Group 2 : Higgs Physics at the HL-LHC and HE-LHC / Cepeda, M. (CERN ; Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Gori, S. (UC, Santa Cruz, Inst. Part. Phys.) ; Ilten, P. (Birmingham U.) ; Kado, M. (Orsay, LAL ; INFN, Rome ; Rome U.) ; Riva, F. (Geneva U., Dept. Theor. Phys.) ; Abdul Khalek, R. (Vrije U., Amsterdam ; Nikhef, Amsterdam) ; Aboubrahim, A. (Northeastern U. (main)) ; Alimena, J. (Ohio State U., Columbus (main)) ; Alioli, S. (Milan Bicocca U.) ; Alves, A. (U. Sao Paulo (main)) et al.
The discovery of the Higgs boson in 2012, by the ATLAS and CMS experiments, was a success achieved with only a percent of the entire dataset foreseen for the LHC. It opened a landscape of possibilities in the study of Higgs boson properties, Electroweak Symmetry breaking and the Standard Model in general, as well as new avenues in probing new physics beyond the Standard Model. Proton reconstruction with the CMS-TOTEM Precision Proton Spectrometer / CMS and TOTEM Collaboration
The Precision Proton Spectrometer (PPS) of the CMS and TOTEM experiments collected 107.7 fb$ ^{-1} $ in proton-proton (pp) collisions at the LHC at 13 TeV (Run 2). This paper describes the key features of the PPS alignment and optics calibrations, the proton reconstruction procedure, as well as the detector efficiency and the performance of the PPS simulation. Probing the nature of the $\chi_{c1}(3872)$ state using radiative decays / LHCb Collaboration
The radiative decays $\chi_{c1}(3872)\rightarrow \psi(2S)\gamma$ and $\chi_{c1}(3872)\rightarrow J/\psi\gamma$ are used to probe the nature of the $\chi_{c1}(3872)$ state using proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9fb$^{-1}$. Using the $B^+ \rightarrow \chi_{c1}(3872)K^+$ decay, the $\chi_{c1}(3872)\rightarrow \psi(2S)\gamma$ process is observed for the~first time and the ratio of its partial width to that of the $\chi_{c1}(3872)\rightarrow J/\psi\gamma$ decay is measured to be $$ \frac{\Gamma_{\chi_{c1}(3872)\rightarrow \psi(2S)\gamma}} {\Gamma_{\chi_{c1}(3872)\rightarrow J\psi\gamma}} = 1.67 \pm 0.21 \pm 0.12 \pm0.04, $$ where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic and the third is due to the uncertainties on the branching fractions of the $\psi(2S)$ and $J/\psi$ mesons.
