We have studied the behaviour of a single-sided, 50 micron pitch, AC-coupled, poly-resistor biased silicon detector, processed at CSEM ( Neuchatel, Switzerland) after having been irradiated with a fluence of 10^13 neutrons/cm2 . The irradiation has been performed simulating the CMS silicon tracker data taking environment, with the detectors under bias and the temperature at 0 C. [...]

Assembly of the Inner Tracker Silicon Microstrip Modules / Cariola, P ; Cariola, P ; Creanza, Donato ; De Palma, Mauro ; Ferorelli, Raffaele ; Fiore, Luigi ; My, Salvatore ; Predaa, M ; Radicci, Valeria ; Sala, Giuliano et al.
This note describes the organization of the mechanical assembly of the nearly 4000 silicon microstrip modules that were constructed in Italy for the Inner Tracker of the CMS experiment. The customization and the calibration of the robotic system adopted by the CMS Tracker community, starting from a general pilot project realized at CERN, is described. [...]

We present beam test results on AC-coupled, single-sided, n+ on n type silicon microstrip detectors. We have tested the detectors before and after irradiation at a fluence of 8.3E13 n/cm2, at different temperatures and bias voltages. [...]

Signal-to-noise simulation of n+ on n type Si micro-strip detectors / Bader, Attila ; My, Salvatore ; Radicci, Valeria ; Raso, Giuseppe ; Tempesta, Paolo ; De Palma, Mauro
Using a SPICE network model, we simulated the signal and noise of AC-coupled, single-sided, n+ on n type Si micro-strip detectors connected to PreMux-128 read-out electronics. The detector response was studied before and after neutron irradiation with a fluence of 8.3E13 n/cm2. [...]

The 2003 Tracker Inner Barrel Beam Test / Boccali, Tommaso ; Bocci, Andrea ; Borrello, Laura ; Carrone, Enzo (CERN) ; Chiorboli, Massimiliano ; Ciulli, Vitaliano ; Civinini, Carlo ; D'Alfonso, Mariarosaria ; De Filippis, Nicola ; Dell'Orso, Roberto et al.
Before starting the CMS Silicon Strip Tracker (SST) mass production, where the quality control tests can only be done on single components, an extensive collection of activities aiming at validating the tracker system functionality has been performed. In this framework, a final component prototype of the Inner Barrel part (TIB) of the SST has been assembled and tested in the INFN laboratories and then moved to CERN to check its behaviour in a 25~ns LHC-like particle beam.
