Fat Brane Phenomena / De Rujula, A. (CERN) ; Donini, A. (Madrid, Autonoma U.) ; Gavela, M.B. (Madrid, Autonoma U.) ; Rigolin, S. (Madrid, Autonoma U.)
Gravitons could permeate extra space dimensions inaccessible to all other particles, which would be confined to ``branes''. We point out that these branes could be ``fat'' and have a non-vanishing width in the dimensions reserved for gravitons. [...]

Top Dipole Form Factors and Loop-induced CP-violation in Supersymmetry / Hollik, Wolfgang F L ; Illana, J I ; Rigolin, Stefano ; Schappacher, C ; Stöckinger, D
The one-loop Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) contributions to the weak and electromagnetic dipole form factors of the top quark are presented. Far from the Z peak, they are not sufficient to account for all the new physics effects. [...]

Four species neutrino oscillations at $\nu$-Factory : sensitivity and CP-violation / Donini, Andrea ; Gavela-Legazpi, Maria Belen ; Hernández, Pilar ; Rigolin, Stefano
The prospects of measuring the leptonic angles and CP-odd phases at a {\em neutrino factory} are discussed in the scenario of three active plus one sterile neutrino. We consider the $\nu_\mu \raw \nu_e$ LSND signal. [...]

With the discovery of a scalar resonance at ATLAS and CMS, the understanding of the electroweak symmetry breaking origin seems a much closer goal. A strong dynamics at relatively low scales is still a good candidate. [...]

An alternative approach to $b \to s\gamma$ in the unconstrained MSSM / Rigolin, Stefano (CERN)
The gluino contributions to the $C'_{7,8}$ Wilson coefficients for b->s\gamma are calculated within the unconstrained MSSM. New stringent bounds on the \dRLbs and \dRRbs mass insertion parameters are obtained in the limit in which the SM and SUSY contributions to $C_{7,8}$ approximately cancel. [...]

Supersymmetric Pati-Salam Models from Intersecting D-Branes / Everett, L.L. (CERN ; Michigan U.) ; Kane, Gordon L. (Michigan U.) ; King, S.F. (Southampton U.) ; Rigolin, S. (CERN ; Michigan U.) ; Wang, Lian-Tao (Michigan U.)
We explore supersymmetric Type I string-motivated three-family scenarios in which the Standard Model is embedded within two sets of intersecting D branes with U(1)-extended Pati-Salam gauge groups. We study a model inspired by the Shiu-Tye Type IIB orientifold, in which a three-family scenario is obtained by assuming that the gauge symmetry breaking takes place in two stages: the Pati-Salam group arises from diagonal breaking of the U(N) gauge groups, which is then broken to the SM gauge group. Golden measurements at a neutrino factory / Cervera-Villanueva, Anselmo ; Donini, Andrea ; Gavela-Legazpi, Maria Belen ; Cadenas, J J G ; Hernández, Pilar ; Mena, O ; Rigolin, Stefano
The precision and discovery potential of a neutrino factory based on muonstorage rings is studied. For three-family neutrino oscillations, we analysehow to measure or severely constraint the angle $\theta_{13}$, CP violation,MSW effects and the sign of the atmospheric mass difference $\Delta m^2_{23}$.We present a simple analytical formula for the oscillation probabilities inmatter, with all neutrino mass differences non-vanishing, which clarifies thesubtleties involved in disentangling the unknown parameters.
