Investigation of $K^+K^-$ pairs in the effective mass region near $2m_K$ / DIRAC Collaboration
The DIRAC experiment at CERN investigated in the reaction $\rm{p}(24~\rm{GeV}/c) + Ni$ the particle pairs $K^+K^-, \pi^+ \pi^-$ and $p \bar{p}$ with relative momentum $Q$ in the pair system less than 100 MeV/c. Because of background influence studies, DIRAC explored three subsamples of $K^+K^-$ pairs, obtained by subtracting -- using time-of-flight (TOF) technique -- background from initial $Q$ distributions with $K^+K^-$ sample fractions more than 70%, 50% and 30%. The $\pi^+\pi^-$ Coulomb interaction study and its use in the data processing / Adeva, B. (Santiago de Compostela U.) ; Afanasyev, L. (Dubna, JINR) ; Anania, A. (INFN, Messina) ; Aogaki, S. (Bucharest, IFIN-HH) ; Benelli, A. (Prague, Tech. U.) ; Brekhovskikh, V. (Serpukhov, IHEP) ; Cechak, T. (Prague, Tech. U.) ; Chiba, M. (Tokyo Metropolitan U.) ; Chliapnikov, P. (Serpukhov, IHEP) ; Drijard, D. (Prague, Tech. U. ; CERN) et al.
In this work the Coulomb effects (Coulomb correlations) were studied using experimental $\pi^+\pi^-$ pair distributions in $Q$, the relative momentum in the pair center of mass system (c.m.s), and its projections $Q_L$ (longitudinal component) and $Q_t$ (transverse component) relative to the pair direction in the laboratory system (l.s.). The major part of the pion pairs is produced by decay of $\rho, \omega$ and $\Delta$ and other short-lived sources (Coulomb pairs). [...]

Exotic meson $\pi_1(1600)$ with $J^{PC} = 1^{-+}$ and its decay into $\rho(770)\pi$ / COMPASS Collaboration
We study the spin-exotic $J^{PC} = 1^{-+}$ amplitude in single-diffractive dissociation of 190 GeV$/c$ pions into $\pi^-\pi^-\pi^+$ using a hydrogen target and confirm the $\pi_1(1600) \to \rho(770) \pi$ amplitude, which interferes with a nonresonant $1^{-+}$ amplitude. We demonstrate that conflicting conclusions from previous studies on these amplitudes can be attributed to different analysis models and different treatment of the dependence of the amplitudes on the squared four-momentum transfer and we thus reconcile their experimental findings. A Triangle Singularity as the Origin of the $a_1(1420)$ / Alexeev, G.D. (Dubna, JINR) ; Alexeev, M.G. (Turin U. ; INFN, Turin) ; Amoroso, A. (Turin U. ; INFN, Turin) ; Andrieux, V. (CERN ; Illinois U., Urbana) ; Anosov, V. (Dubna, JINR) ; Antoshkin, A. (Dubna, JINR) ; Augsten, K. (Dubna, JINR ; CTU, Prague) ; Augustyniak, W. (NCBJ, Warsaw) ; Azevedo, C.D.R. (Aveiro U.) ; Badełek, B. (Warsaw U.) et al.
The COMPASS experiment recently discovered a new isovector resonance-like signal with axial-vector quantum numbers, the $a_1(1420)$, decaying to $f_0(980)\pi$. With a mass too close to and a width smaller than the axial-vector ground state $a_1(1260)$, it was immediately interpreted as a new light exotic meson, similar to the $X$, $Y$, $Z$ states in the hidden-charm sector. Search for a New $B$ - $L$ $Z'$ Gauge Boson with the NA64 Experiment at CERN / NA64 Collaboration
A search for a new $Z'$ gauge boson associated with (un)broken B-L symmetry in the keV-GeV mass range is carried out for the first time using the missing-energy technique in the NA64 experiment at the CERN SPS. From the analysis of the data with 3.22e11 electrons on target collected during 2016-2021 runs no signal events were found. [...]

Measurements of $K^0_{\textrm{S}}$, $\Lambda$ and $\bar{\Lambda}$ production in 120 GeV/$c$ p + C interactions / NA61/SHINE Collaboration
This paper presents multiplicity measurements of $K^0_{\textrm{S}}$, $\Lambda$, and $\bar{\Lambda}$ produced in 120 GeV/$c$ proton-carbon interactions. The measurements were made using data collected at the NA61/SHINE experiment during two different periods. [...]

Comparison of $pp$ and $p \bar{p}$ differential elastic cross sections and observation of the exchange of a colorless $C$-odd gluonic compound / D0 Collaboration
We describe a quantitative analysis comparing the p anti-p elastic cross section as measured by the D0 Collaboration at a center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV to that in pp collisions as measured by the TOTEM Collaboration at 2.76, 7, 8, and 13 TeV using a mainly model-independent approach. The TOTEM cross sections extrapolated to a center-of-mass energy of sqrt(s) = 1.96 TeV are compared with the D0 measurement in the region of the diffractive minimum and the second maximum of the pp cross section. Event classifiers based either on the charged-particle multiplicity or the event shape have been extensively used in proton-proton (pp) collisions by the ALICE collaboration at the LHC. The use of these tools became very instrumental since the observation of fluid-like behavior in high-multiplicity pp collisions. [...]

Search for a light Higgs boson in single-photon decays of $\Upsilon(1S)$ using $\Upsilon(2S) \to \pi^+ \pi^- \Upsilon(1S)$ tagging method / Belle Collaboration
We search for a light Higgs boson ($A^0$) decaying into a $\tau^+\tau^-$ or $\mu^+\mu^-$ pair in the radiative decays of $\Upsilon(1S)$. The production of $\Upsilon(1S)$ mesons is tagged by $\Upsilon(2S)\to \pi^+ \pi^- \Upsilon(1S)$ transitions, using 158 million $\Upsilon(2S)$ events accumulated with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy electron-positron collider.
