Feebly-interacting particles: FIPs 2020 workshop report
/ Agrawal, Prateek (Oxford U., Theor. Phys.) ; Bauer, Martin (Durham U., IPPP) ; Beacham, James (Duke U.) ; Berlin, Asher (New York U., CCPP ; New York U.) ; Boyarsky, Alexey (Leiden U.) ; Cebrian, Susana (Zaragoza U.) ; Cid-Vidal, Xabier (Santiago de Compostela U.) ; d'Enterria, David (CERN) ; De Roeck, Albert (CERN) ; Drewes, Marco (Louvain U., CP3) et al.
With the establishment and maturation of the experimental programs searching for new physics with sizeable couplings at the LHC, there is an increasing interest in the broader particle and astrophysics community for exploring the physics of light and feebly-interacting particles as a paradigm complementary to a New Physics sector at the TeV scale and beyond. FIPs 2020 has been the first workshop fully dedicated to the physics of feebly-interacting particles and was held virtually from 31 August to 4 September 2020. [...]

Feebly Interacting Particles: FIPs 2022 workshop report

Particle physics today faces the challenge of explaining the mystery of dark matter, the origin of matter over anti-matter in the Universe, the origin of the neutrino masses, the apparent fine-tuning of the electro-weak scale, and many other aspects of fundamental physics. Perhaps the most striking frontier to emerge in the search for answers involves new physics at mass scales comparable to familiar matter, below the GeV-scale, or even radically below, down to sub-eV scales, and with very feeble interaction strength. First Results on the Search for Chameleons with the KWISP Detector at CAST
/ Arguedas Cuendis, S. (CERN) ; Baier, J. (Freiburg U.) ; Barth, K. (CERN) ; Baum, S. (Royal Inst. Tech., Stockholm ; Stockholm U., OKC ; Nordita) ; Bayirli, A. (Istanbul U.) ; Belov, A. We report on a first measurement with a sensitive opto-mechanical force sensor designed for the direct detection of coupling of real chameleons to matter. These dark energy candidates could be produced in the Sun and stream unimpeded to Earth. [...]

Search for dark matter axions with CAST-CAPP
/ Adair, C.M. (British Columbia U.) ; Altenmüller, K. (Zaragoza U.) ; Anastassopoulos, V. (Patras U.) ; Cuendis, S. Arguedas (CERN) ; Baier, J. (Freiburg U.) ; Barth, K. (CERN) ; Belov, A. (Moscow, INR) ; Bozicevic, D. (Rijeka U.) ; Bräuninger, H. (Garching, Max Planck Inst., MPE) ; Cantatore, G. (INFN, Trieste ; Trieste U.) et al.
The CAST-CAPP axion haloscope, operating at CERN inside the CAST dipole magnet, has searched for axions in the 19.74 $\mu$eV to 22.47 $\mu$eV mass range. The detection concept follows the Sikivie haloscope principle, where Dark Matter axions convert into photons within a resonator immersed in a magnetic field. [...]

(Zaragoza U.) ; Carosi, G.P. (LLNL, Livermore) ; Caspers, F. (CERN) ; Caspi, S. (LBL, Berkeley) et al.
The International Axion Observatory (IAXO) will be a forth generation axion helioscope. As its primary physics goal, IAXO will look for axions or axion-like particles (ALPs) originating in the Sun via the Primakoff conversion of the solar plasma photons. [...]

This paper is a write-up of the ideas that were presented, developed and discussed at the third International Workshop on QCD Challenges from pp to A-A, which took place in August 2019 in Lund, Sweden. The goal of the workshop was to focus on some of the open questions in the field and try to come up with concrete suggestions for how to make progress on both the experimental and theoretical sides.
