From Inclusive to Semi-Inclusive One-Nucleon Knockout in Neutrino Event Generators / Nikolakopoulos, Alexis (Fermilab) ; Gardiner, Steven (Fermilab) ; Papadopoulou, Afroditi (Argonne) ; Dolan, Stephen (CERN) ; González-Jiménez, Raúl (Madrid U.)
In neutrino event generators, for models for neutrino and electron scattering only inclusive cross sections are implemented. When these models are used to describe a semi-inclusive cross section, the event generator attaches the hadron variables based on some assumptions. [...]

Analysis of T2K and MINER$\nu$A Semi-Inclusive $\nu_\mu$−$^{12}$C Measurements / Franco-Patino, J M (Seville U. ; Turin U. ; INFN, Turin) ; González-Jiménez, R (Madrid U.) ; Dolan, S (CERN) ; Barbaro, M B (Turin U. ; INFN, Turin) ; Caballero, J A (Seville U. ; Granada U., Theor. Phys. Astrophys.) ; Megias, G D (Seville U. ; Tokyo U., ICRR) ; Udias, J M (Madrid U.)
We compare the semi-inclusive C cross-section measurements via T2K and MINERA collaborations with the predictions from the SuSAv2-MEC model implemented in the neutrino event generator GENIE and an unfactorized approach based on the relativistic distorted wave impulse approximation (RDWIA). Results, which include cross-sections as a function of the final muon and proton kinematics as well as correlations between both, show that the agreement with data obtained via the RDWIA approach—which accounts for final-state interactions—matches or improves GENIE-SuSAv2 predictions for very forward angles, where scaling violations are relevant..

Final state interactions in semi-inclusive neutrino-nucleus scattering: Application to T2K and MINER$\nu$A experiments / Franco-Patino, J.M. (Seville U. ; INFN, Turin) ; González-Jiménez, R. We present a complete comparison of semi-inclusive $\nu_\mu$-$^{12}$C cross-section measurements by T2K and MINER$\nu$A collaborations with the predictions from the SuSAv2-MEC model implemented in the neutrino-nucleus event generator GENIE and an unfactorized approach based on the relativistic distorted wave impulse approximation (RDWIA). Results, that include cross sections as function of the final muon and proton kinematics and correlations between both, show that the agreement with data obtained by the RDWIA approach, that accounts for final-state interactions, matches or improves GENIE-SuSAv2 predictions for very forward angles where scaling violations are relevant..

New model comparison for semi-inclusive charged-current electron and muon neutrino scattering by <math display="inline"><mrow><mmultiscripts><mrow><mi>Ar</mi></mrow><mprescripts/><none/><mrow><mn>40</mn></mrow></mmultiscripts></mrow></math> in the energy range of the MicroBooNE experiment / Franco-Patino, J.M. (Seville U. ; IRFU, Saclay, DPP ; Turin U. ; INFN, Turin) ; Dolan, S. (CERN) ; González-Jiménez, R. (Madrid U.) ; Barbaro, M.B. (Turin U. ; INFN, Turin) ; Caballero, J.A. (Seville U. ; IRFU, Saclay, DPP ; Granada U.) ; Megias, G.D. (Seville U. ; IRFU, Saclay, DPP)
In this work we present a comparison of semi-inclusive muon and electron neutrino cross sections with $^{40}$Ar target measured by the MicroBooNE Collaboration with the predictions of an unfactorized model based on the relativistic distorted wave impulse approximation (RDWIA) and the SuSAv2-MEC model implemented in the neutrino event generator GENIE. The predictions based on the RDWIA approach, with a realistic description of the initial state and a phenomenological relativistic complex optical potential for the description of final state interactions, better describe the measured cross sections than GENIE-SuSAv2 and RDWIA with a purely real potential..

Implementation of the SuSAv2-meson exchange current 1p1h and 2p2h models in GENIE and analysis of nuclear effects in T2K measurements / Dolan, S. (Ecole Polytechnique ; IRFU, Saclay, DPP ; CERN) ; Megias, G.D. (Ecole Polytechnique ; IRFU, Saclay, DPP ; Tokyo U., ICRR) ; Bolognesi, S. (IRFU, Saclay, DPP)
We first present the implementation and validation of the SuSAv2-MEC 1p1h and 2p2h models in the GENIE neutrino-nucleus interaction event generator and a comparison of the subsequent predictions to measurements of lepton and hadron kinematics from the T2K experiment. These predictions are also compared to those of other available models in GENIE. [...]

Inclusive Electron Scattering And The GENIE Neutrino Event Generator / electrons for neutrinos Collaboration
The extraction of neutrino mixing parameters from accelerator-based neutrino oscillation experiments relies on proper modeling of neutrino-nucleus scattering processes using neutrino-interaction event generators. Experimental tests of these generators are difficult due to the broad range of neutrino energies produced in accelerator-based beams and the low statistics of current experiments. [...]

Implementation of the continuum random phase approximation model in the GENIE generator and an analysis of nuclear effects in low-energy transfer neutrino interactions / Dolan, S. (CERN) ; Nikolakopoulos, A. (Gent U.) ; Page, O. (Bristol U.) ; Gardiner, S. (Fermilab) ; Jachowicz, N. (Gent U.) ; Pandey, V. (Fermilab ; Florida U.)
We present the implementation and validation of the Hartree-Fock continuum random phase approximation (HF-CRPA) model in the GENIE neutrino-nucleus interaction event generator and a comparison of the subsequent predictions to experimental measurements of lepton kinematics from interactions with no mesons in the final state. These predictions are also compared to those of other models available in GENIE. [...]

Combined Analysis of Neutrino and Antineutrino Charged Current Inclusive Interactions / Franco-Patino, Juan M (Seville U.) ; Gacino-Olmedo, Alejandro N (Seville U. ; CERN) ; Gonzalez-Rosa, Jesus (Seville U.) ; Dolan, Stephen J (CERN) ; Megias, Guillermo D (Seville U.) ; Munteanu, Laura (CERN) ; Barbaro, Maria B (INFN, Turin ; Turin U.) ; Caballero, Juan A (Seville U.)
This paper presents a combined analysis of muon neutrino and antineutrino charged-current cross sections at kinematics of relevance for the T2K, MINERvA and MicroBooNE experiments. We analyze the sum, difference and asymmetry of neutrino versus antineutrino cross sections in order to get a better understanding of the nuclear effects involved in these processes. [...]
