Supplemental material: afterburner for generating light (anti-)nuclei with QCD-inspired event generators in pp collisions /ALICE Collaboration
This note complements the paper titled: ``Production of deuterons, tritons, $^{3}$He nuclei and their anti-nuclei in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$~=~0.9, 2.76 and 7~TeV'' with additional material related to Monte Carlo simulations necessary to compare the results with lower energy experiments. It describes a coalescence-based afterburner for QCD-inspired event generators, which allows the generation of light nuclei, hyper-nuclei and their charge conjugates in proton--proton (pp) collisions at LHC energies. Production of light (anti-)nuclei and (anti-)hypernuclei with ALICE at the LHC / Lea, Ramona (speaker) (Universita e INFN Trieste (IT))
The high energy pp, p-Pb, and Pb-Pb collisions at the LHC offer a unique tool to study the production of nuclei and hyperon-baryon bound systems, called hypernuclei, and the corresponding anti-particles. The study of the production yield of (anti-)(hyper-)nuclei in heay-ion collisions at the LHC energy probes the late stages in the evolution of the hot, dense nuclear matter created in the collision and serves as baseline for the search of exotic multi-baryon states. The measurements in smaller collision systems may also provide an input to cosmological searches for segregated primordial anti-matter and dark matter, since anti-nuclei produced in pp and p--A collisions in interstellar space represent a background source in these measurements. Anti- and Hyper-Nuclei Production at the LHC with ALICE / Barioglio, Luca (Turin U.) /ALICE Collaboration
At the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) a significant production of (anti-)(hyper-)nuclei is observed in proton-proton (pp), proton-lead (p-Pb) and lead-lead (Pb-Pb) collisions. The measurement of the production yields of light (anti-)nuclei is extremely important to provide insight into the production mechanisms of nuclear matter, which is still an open question in high energy physics. Light (anti-)nuclei production and elliptic flow at the LHC with ALICE / Puccio, Maximiliano (INFN, Turin ; Turin U.) /ALICE Collaboration
Results on the production of stable light nuclei, including deuterons, $^3$He, $^4$He and the corresponding anti-nuclei, in Pb–Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$=2.76TeV and $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$=5.02TeV are presented and compared with theoretical predictions and with the results in small systems to provide insight into the production mechanisms of (anti-)nuclei at colliders. The experimental results are presented giving a critical view of their comparison to the expectations from coales-cence and hydrodynamic models that aim at describing both the $p_T$-spectra and the elliptic flow..

(Multi-)strange hadron and light (anti-)nuclei production with ALICE at the LHC / Lea, Ramona (Pisa U. ; INFN, Trieste) /ALICE
Thanks to its excellent tracking performance and particle identification capabilities, the ALICE detector allows for the identification of light (anti-)(hyper)nuclei and for the measurement of (multi-)strange particles over a wide range of transverse momentum. Deuterons, 3He and 4He and their corresponding anti-nuclei are identified via their specific energy loss in the Time Projection Chamber and the velocity measurement provided by the Time-Of-Flightdetector. Constraining production models with light (anti-)nuclei measurements in small systems with ALICE at the LHC / Colocci, Manuel (INFN, Bologna ; U. Bologna, DIFA) /ALICE
The production of deuterons and anti-deuterons in pp collisions at s=7and13TeV has been studied as a function of charged-particle multiplicity using the ALICE detector at the LHC. The preliminary results are shown here, together with those obtained in heavy-ion collisions. [...]

Constraining the production mechanism of light (anti-)nuclei in small systems with ALICE at the LHC: Parallel Session - Small systems III / Barioglio, Luca (INFN, Turin ; Turin U.) /ALICE Collaboration
The large samples of high-quality data collected at the LHC by the ALICE Collaboration allow for a systematic study of light (anti-)nuclei production in pp collisions at s=5,7and13TeV and in p–Pb collisions at sNN=5.02TeV . The excellent performance of the Inner Tracking System, Time-Projection Chamber and Time-Of-Flight detectors provide a clear identification and separation of primary produced light (anti-)nuclei from secondaries. Light hyper- and anti-nuclei production at the LHC measured with ALICE / Kalweit, Alexander Philipp (speaker) (CERN)
The high collision energies reached at the LHC lead to significant production yields of light (anti-) and hyper-nuclei in proton-proton, proton-lead and, in particular, lead-lead collisions. The excellent particle identification capabilities of the ALICE apparatus, based on the specific energy loss in the Time Projection Chamber and the velocity information obtained with the Time-Of-Flight detector, allow for the detection of these rarely produced particles [...]

Nuclei and Anti-Nuclei Production in Heavy Ion Collisions / Puccio, Maximiliano (INFN, Turin ; Turin U.) /ALICE
The high integrated luminosity and the unprecedented collision energies provided by the Large Hadron Collider open the possibility to study extensively the production of light (anti-)nuclei, hypernuclei and exotic states in proton- proton (pp), proton-lead (p-Pb) and in particular in lead-lead (Pb-Pb) collisions. The transverse momentum spectra and the production yields of light nuclei and anti-nuclei are presented. [...]

ToMCCA: a Toy Monte Carlo Coalescence Afterburner / Mahlein, Maximilian (Munich, Tech. U.) ; Pinto, Chiara (Munich, Tech. U. ; CERN) ; Fabbietti, Laura (Munich, Tech. U.)
The study of antinuclei in cosmic rays provides a unique opportunity to probe physics beyond the Standard Model. Antinuclei in our Galaxy may stem either from annihilation or decay of dark matter, or from collisions of cosmic rays with the interstellar medium, which constitute the background of indirect dark matter searches.
