In an experiment performed at the ISOLDE facility of CERN, the super-allowed beta-decay branching ratio of 10C was determined with a high-precision single-crystal germanium detector. In order to evaluate the contribution of the pile-up of two 511 keV gamma quanta to one of the gamma-ray peaks of interest at 1021.7 keV, data were not only taken with 10C, but also with a 19Ne beam. The half-life of the superallowed Fermi $\beta^+$ emitter $^{14}$O was determined to high precision via a direct $\beta$ counting experiment performed at the Isotope Separator and Accelerator (ISAC) facility at TRIUMF. The result, $T_{1/2}$($^{14}$O) = 70619.2(76) ms, is consistent with, but is more precise than, the world average obtained from 11 previous measurements. [...]

The $\gamma$ -decay branching ratios of $^{49}$V have been studied in the $\beta$ /EC decay of $^{49}$Cr. The $\gamma$-ray spectrum has been measured with a 70% relative efficiency co-axial germanium detector calibrated in efficiency with a precision of about 0.5%. [...]

The excited states of $N=44$$^{74}$Zn were investigated via $\gamma$-ray spectroscopy following $^{74}$Cu $\beta$ decay. By exploiting $\gamma$-$\gamma$ angular correlation analysis, the $2_2^+$, $3_1^+$, $0_2^+$ and $2_3^+$ states in $^{74}$Zn were firmly established. [...]

Metal-core pad-plane development for ACTAR TPC
/ Giovinazzo, J (CENBG, Gradignan) ; Pibernat, J (CENBG, Gradignan) ; Goigoux, T (CENBG, Gradignan) ; de Oliveira, R (CERN) ; Grinyer, G F (Regina U. ; GANIL) ; Huss, C (CENBG, Gradignan) ; Mauss, B (GANIL) ; Pancin, J (GANIL) ; Pedroza, J L (CENBG, Gradignan) ; Rebii, A (CENBG, Gradignan) et al.
With the recent development of active targets and time projection chambers (ACTAR TPC) as detectors for fundamental nuclear physics experiments, the need arose for charge collection planes with a high density of readout channels. In order to fulfill the mechanical constraints for the ACTAR TPC device, we designed a pad-plane based on a metal-core circuit with an conceptually simple design and routing for signal readout, named FAKIR (in reference to a fakir bed of nails).
