In recent years, theoretical and phenomenological studies with effective field theories have become a trending and prolific line of research in the field of high-energy physics. In order to discuss present and future prospects concerning automated tools in this field, the SMEFT-Tools 2022 workshop was held at the University of Zurich from 14th-16th September 2022. [...]

Dimensional regularization vs methods in fixed dimension with and without $\gamma_5$ / Bruque, A.M. (CAFPE, Granada ; Granada U., Theor. Phys. Astrophys.) ; Cherchiglia, A.L. (ABC Federal U.) ; Pérez-Victoria, M. (CAFPE, Granada ; Granada U., Theor. Phys. Astrophys. ; CERN)
We study the Lorentz and Dirac algebra, including antisymmetric $\epsilon$ tensors and the $\gamma_5$ matrix, in implicit gauge-invariant regularization/renormalization methods defined in fixed integer dimensions. They include constrained differential, implicit and four-dimensional renormalization. [...]

Effective description of general extensions of the Standard Model: the complete tree-level dictionary / de Blas, J. (Padua U. ; INFN, Padua) ; Criado, J.C. (CAFPE, Granada ; Granada U., Theor. Phys. Astrophys.) ; Perez-Victoria, M. (CAFPE, Granada ; Granada U., Theor. Phys. Astrophys. ; CERN) ; Santiago, J. (CAFPE, Granada ; Granada U., Theor. Phys. Astrophys.)
We compute all the tree-level contributions to the Wilson coefficients of the dimension-six Standard-Model effective theory in ultraviolet completions with general scalar, spinor and vector field content and arbitrary interactions. No assumption about the renormalizability of the high-energy theory is made. [...]

Impact of the Recent Measurements of the Top-Quark and <math display="inline"><mi>W</mi></math>-Boson Masses on Electroweak Precision Fits / de Blas, J. (CAFPE, Granada ; Granada U.) ; Pierini, M. (CERN) ; Reina, L. (Florida State U.) ; Silvestrini, L. (INFN, Rome)
We assess the impact of the very recent measurement of the top-quark mass by the CMS Collaboration on the fit of electroweak data in the Standard Model and beyond, with particular emphasis on the prediction for the mass of the W boson. We then compare this prediction with the average of the corresponding experimental measurements including the new measurement by the CDF Collaboration, and discuss its compatibility in the Standard Model, in new physics models with oblique corrections, and in the dimension-six Standard Model Effective Field Theory. Triboson interpretations of the ATLAS diboson excess / Aguilar-Saavedra, J.A. (Granada U., Theor. Phys. Astrophys.)
The ATLAS excess in fat jet pair production is kinematically compatible with the decay of a heavy resonance into two gauge bosons plus an extra particle. This possibility would explain the absence of such a localised excess in the analogous CMS analysis of fat dijet final states, as well as the negative results of diboson resonance searches in the semi-leptonic decay modes..

Observable Effects of General New Scalar Particles / de Blas, Jorge (INFN, Rome) ; Chala, Mikael (DESY) ; Perez-Victoria, Manuel (Granada U., Theor. Phys. Astrophys. ; CAFPE, Granada) ; Santiago, Jose (Granada U., Theor. Phys. Astrophys. ; CAFPE, Granada ; CERN)
We classify all possible new scalar particles that can have renormalizable linear couplings to Standard Model fields and therefore be singly produced at colliders. We show that this classification exhausts the list of heavy scalar particles that contribute at the tree level to the Standard Model effective Lagrangian to dimension six. [...]

Global analysis of electroweak data in the Standard Model / de Blas, J. (CAFPE, Granada ; Granada U.) ; Ciuchini, M. (INFN, Rome3) ; Franco, E. (INFN, Rome) ; Goncalves, A. (Florida State U.) ; Mishima, S. (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Pierini, M. (CERN) ; Reina, L. (Florida State U.) ; Silvestrini, L. (INFN, Rome)
We perform a global fit of electroweak data within the Standard Model, using state-of-the art experimental and theoretical results, including a determination of the electromagnetic coupling at the electroweak scale based on recent lattice calculations. In addition to the posteriors for all parameters and observables obtained from the global fit, we present indirect determinations for all parameters and predictions for all observables. [...]
