High energy factorization in nucleus-nucleus collisions, I / Gelis, Francois (CERN) ; Lappi, Tuomas (Saclay, SPhT) ; Venugopalan, Raju (Brookhaven)
We derive a high energy factorization theorem for inclusive gluon production in A+A collisions. Our factorized formula resums i) all order leading logarithms (g^2 \ln(1/x_{1,2}))^n of the incoming partons momentum fractions, and ii) all contributions (g \rho_{1,2})^n that are enhanced when the color charge densities in the two nuclei are of order of the inverse coupling-- \rho_{1,2}\sim g^{-1}. The glasma initial state and JIMWLK factorization / Gelis, F. (CERN ; Saclay, SPhT) ; Lappi, T. (Saclay, SPhT) ; Venugopalan, R. (Brookhaven)
We review recent work on understanding the next to leading order corrections to the classical fields that dominate the initial stages of a heavy ion collision. We have recently shown that the leading ln(1/x) divergences of these corrections to gluon multiplicities can be factorized into the JIMWLK evolution of the color charge density distributions..

High energy factorization in nucleus-nucleus collisions III. Long range rapidity correlations / Gelis, Francois (CERN ; DSM, DAPNIA, Saclay) ; Lappi, Tuomas (DSM, DAPNIA, Saclay) ; Venugopalan, Raju (Brookhaven)
We obtain a novel result in QCD for long range rapidity correlations between gluons produced in the collision of saturated high energy hadrons or nuclei. This result, obtained in a high energy factorization framework, provides strong justification for the Glasma flux tube picture of coherent strong color fields. [...]

Impact of Glasma on heavy quark $R_{AA}$ and $v_2$ in nucleus-nucleus collisions at LHC / Sun, Y (INFN, LNS) ; Coci, G (INFN, LNS ; Catania, CSFNSM ; Catania U.) ; Das, S K (Indian Inst. Tech. Goa) ; Plumari, S (INFN, LNS ; Catania U.) ; Ruggieri, M (Lanzhou U.) ; Greco, V (INFN, LNS ; Catania U.)
We study the effect of the strong quasi-classical gluon field produced in the pre-thermal equilibrium stage of ultra-relativistic heavy ion collisions (RHICs) on the evolution of heavy quarks. It is shown that this field leads to an initial enhancement of the nuclear modification factor ($R_{AA}$) of charm quarks at large $p_T$ . [...]

Indications of suppressed high $p_{T}$ hadron production in nucleus-nucleus collisions at CERN-SPS / d'Enterria, David G. (Nevis Labs, Columbia U. ; Columbia U.)
Inclusive pion production at high transverse momenta (p_T > 2 GeV/c) in nucleus-nucleus (A+A) collisions at CERN SPS (sqrt(s_NN)~20 GeV) is revisited and systematically compared to all existing proton-proton data in the same range of center-of-mass energies. The ratio of A+A to p+p pion cross-sections (nuclear modification factor) for 0-8% central Pb+Pb, Pb+Au and S+Au reactions does not show a strong enhancement as a function of p_T as previously found, but is consistent with scaling with the number of nucleon-nucleon (NN) collisions. Azimuthal angle and rapidity dependence of di-hadron correlations in QCD / Marquet, Cyrille (CERN)
I discuss novel QCD phenomena recently observed in p+p, p+A and A+A collisions, that result from the non-linear dynamics of small-x gluons. I focus on di-hadron correlation measurements, as opposed to single-hadron observables often too inclusive to distinguish possible new effects from established mechanisms. [...]

Quark Gluon Plasma in A + A Collisions at CERN SPS / Gazdzicki, Marek (Frankfurt U.)

Cascade production in p+p, p+A and A+A interactions at 158 A.GeV / Susa, T (CERN) /NA49 Collaboration
The NA49 experiment has measured the strange and multistrange baryons in minimum bias p+p, centrality selected p+Pb and central Pb+Pb collisions. We observe that the yields increase faster than the number of wounded nucleons when comparing p+Pb to p+p. [...]
