Probing Long-lived Axions at the KOTO Experiment
/ Afik, Yoav (CERN) ; Döbrich, Babette (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Jerhot, Jan (Louvain U., CP3) ; Soreq, Yotam (Technion) ; Tobioka, Kohsaku (Florida State U. ; KEK, Tsukuba)
While the main goal of the J-PARC KOTO experiment is to measure the rare decay $K_L \to \pi^0 \nu \bar \nu$, the unique setup of KOTO raises the possibility to search for physics beyond the Standard Model, in an attempt to probe parts of the parameter space which are not covered by other experiments. In this paper, we test the possibility of using KOTO to search for heavy QCD axions, or axion-like particles, a well-motivated extension of the Standard Model emerging in a variety of models. [...]

Rare meson decays are among the most sensitive probes of both heavy and light new physics. Among them, new physics searches using kaons benefit from their small total decay widths and the availability of very large datasets. [...]

Feebly-interacting particles: FIPs 2020 workshop report
/ Agrawal, Prateek (Oxford U., Theor. Phys.) ; Bauer, Martin (Durham U., IPPP) ; Beacham, James (Duke U.) ; Berlin, Asher (New York U., CCPP ; New York U.) ; Boyarsky, Alexey (Leiden U.) ; Cebrian, Susana (Zaragoza U.) ; Cid-Vidal, Xabier (Santiago de Compostela U.) ; d'Enterria, David (CERN) ; De Roeck, Albert (CERN) ; Drewes, Marco (Louvain U., CP3) et al.
With the establishment and maturation of the experimental programs searching for new physics with sizeable couplings at the LHC, there is an increasing interest in the broader particle and astrophysics community for exploring the physics of light and feebly-interacting particles as a paradigm complementary to a New Physics sector at the TeV scale and beyond. FIPs 2020 has been the first workshop fully dedicated to the physics of feebly-interacting particles and was held virtually from 31 August to 4 September 2020. [...]

Light quark Yukawas in triboson final states

Triple heavy vector boson production, $p p \to VVV$$(V = W, Z)$, has recently been observed for the first time. We propose that precision measurements of this process provide an excellent probe of the first generation light quark Yukawa couplings. [...]

New physics implications of recent search for $K_L \to \pi^0 \nu\bar{\nu}$ at KOTO
/ Kitahara, Teppei (Technion ; KMI, Nagoya ; Nagoya U., IAR) ; Okui, Takemichi (Florida State U. ; KEK, Tsukuba) ; Perez, Gilad (Weizmann Inst.) ; Soreq, Yotam (Technion ; CERN) ; Tobioka, Kohsaku (Florida State U. ; KEK, Tsukuba)
The KOTO experiment recently reported four candidate events in the signal region of $K_L\to \pi^0 \nu\bar\nu$ search, where the standard model only expects $0.10\pm 0.02$ events. If confirmed, this requires physics beyond the standard model to enhance the signal. [...]

Report from Working Group 3 : Beyond the Standard Model physics at the HL-LHC and HE-LHC
/ Cid Vidal, Xabier (Santiago de Compostela U., IGFAE) ; D'Onofrio, Monica (Liverpool U.) ; Fox, Patrick J (Fermilab) ; Torre, Riccardo (CERN ; INFN, Genoa) ; Ulmer, Keith A (Colorado U.) ; Aboubrahim, Amin (Northeastern U.) ; Albert, Andreas (RWTH Aachen U.) ; Alimena, Juliette (Ohio State U., Columbus (main)) ; Allanach, Benjamin C (Cambridge U., DAMTP) ; Alpigiani, Cristiano (Washington U., Seattle) et al.
This is the third out of five chapters of the final report [1] of the Workshop on Physics at HL-LHC, and perspectives on HE-LHC [2]. It is devoted to the study of the potential, in the search for Beyond the Standard Model (BSM) physics, of the High Luminosity (HL) phase of the LHC, defined as $3$ ab$^{-1}$ of data taken at a centre-of-mass energy of 14 TeV, and of a possible future upgrade, the High Energy (HE) LHC, defined as $15$ ab$^{-1}$ of data at a centre-of-mass energy of 27 TeV.
