Transverse Emittance Reduction in Muon Beams by Ionization Cooling / MICE Collaboration
Accelerated muon beams have been considered for next-generation studies of high-energy lepton-antilepton collisions and neutrino oscillations. However, high-brightness muon beams have not yet been produced. [...]

Multiple Coulomb Scattering of muons in Lithium Hydride / MICE Collaboration
Multiple Coulomb Scattering (MCS) is a well known phenomenon occurring when charged particles traverse materials. Measurements of muons traversing low $Z$ materials made in the MuScat experiment showed that theoretical models and simulation codes, such as GEANT4 (v7.0), over-estimated the scattering. [...]

Performance of the MICE diagnostic system / Mice Collaboration
Muon beams of low emittance provide the basis for the intense, well-characterised neutrino beams of a neutrino factory and for multi-TeV lepton-antilepton collisions at a muon collider. The international Muon Ionization Cooling Experiment (MICE) has demonstrated the principle of ionization cooling, the technique by which it is proposed to reduce the phase-space volume occupied by the muon beam at such facilities. [...]

RF scheme to mitigate longitudinal instabilities in the SPPC / Zhang, L.H. (Beijing, Inst. High Energy Phys. ; Beijing, GUCAS ; CAS, IHEP, Dongguan) ; Tang, J.Y. (Beijing, Inst. High Energy Phys. ; Beijing, GUCAS ; CAS, IHEP, Dongguan)
A large collider project CEPC-SPPC is under study with a global effort and a leading role from IHEP, with CEPC (Circular Electron-Positron Collider, Phase I) to probe Higgs physics and SPPC (Super Proton-Proton Collider, Phase II) to explore new physics beyond the Standard Model. The key design goal for SPPC is to reach 75 TeV in center-of-mass energy with a circumference of 100 km. [...]

Demonstration of cooling by the Muon Ionization Cooling Experiment / MICE Collaboration
High-brightness muon beams of energy comparable to those produced by state-of-the-art electron, proton and ion accelerators have yet to be realised. Such beams have the potential to carry the search for new phenomena in lepton-antilepton collisions to extremely high energy and also to provide uniquely well-characterised neutrino beams. [...]

Very intense neutrino beams and large neutrino detectors will be needed to enable the discovery of CP violation in the leptonic sector. The European Spallation Source (ESS), currently under construction in Lund, Sweden, is a research center that will provide, by 2023, the world's most powerful neutron source. [...]

A very intense neutrino super beam experiment for leptonic CP violation discovery based on the European spallation source linac / ESSnuSB Collaboration
Very intense neutrino beams and large neutrino detectors will be needed in order to enable the discovery of CP violation in the leptonic sector. We propose to use the proton linac of the European Spallation Source currently under construction in Lund, Sweden to deliver, in parallel with the spallation neutron production, a very intense, cost effective and high performance neutrino beam.
