A Next-Generation Liquid Xenon Observatory for Dark Matter and Neutrino Physics / Aalbers, J. (SLAC ; KIPAC, Menlo Park) ; AbdusSalam, S.S. (Shahid Beheshti U.) ; Abe, K. (Kamioka Observ. ; Tokyo U., IPMU) ; Aerne, V. (Zurich U.) ; Agostini, F. (U. Bologna, DIFA ; INFN, Bologna) ; Maouloud, S. Ahmed (Paris U., VI-VII) ; Akerib, D.S. (SLAC ; KIPAC, Menlo Park) ; Akimov, D.Yu. (Moscow Phys. Eng. Inst.) ; Akshat, J. (Purdue U.) ; Musalhi, A.K. Al (Oxford U.) et al.
The nature of dark matter and properties of neutrinos are among the most pressing issues in contemporary particle physics. The dual-phase xenon time-projection chamber is the leading technology to cover the available parameter space for Weakly Interacting Massive Particles (WIMPs), while featuring extensive sensitivity to many alternative dark matter candidates. Competition between neutron and charged particle emission from compound nuclei around A=160 / Kossakowski, R ; André, S ; Barci, V ; Genevey, J ; Gizon, A ; Gizon, J ; Jastrzebski, J J ; Preibisz, Z ; Rymuza, P ; Skulski, W
Cross sections of reaction products from the interaction of 5-10 MeV /nucleon /sup 12/C, /sup 14/N and /sup 16/O ions with targets of mass around A=150 are investigated using gamma ray detection techniques. The competition between various reaction channels in which from 0 to 4 charges are removed from the compound nucleus is studied as a function of excitation energy of the compound nucleus (CN) and of the distance of the CN from the stability line. Centrality dependence of charged hadron transverse momentum spectra in d+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 200 GeV / Back, B B ; Baker, M D ; Ballintijn, M ; Barton, D S ; Becker, B ; Betts, R R ; Bickley, A A ; Bindel, R ; Budzanowski, A ; Busza, W et al.
We have measured transverse momentum distributions of charged hadrons produced in d+Au collisions at sqrt(s_NN) = 200 GeV. The spectra were obtained for transverse momenta 0.25 < p_T < 6.0 GeV/c, in a pseudorapidity range of 0.2 < eta < 1.4 in the deuteron direction. [...]

First results from the PHOBOS experiment at RHIC / PHOBOS Collaboration
During the first run of RHIC, the PHOBOS experiment recorded Au+Au collisions at square root (S/sub NN/) of 56 GeV and 130 GeV. These data have allowed us-to study. [...]

Overview of results from PHOBOS experiment at RHIC / Olszewski, A ; Back, B B ; Baker, M D ; Barton, D S ; Betts, R R ; Bindel, R ; Budzanowski, A ; Busza, W ; Carroll, A ; Corbo, J et al.
An overview of results for interactions of Au+Au ions at centre-of- mass energies of square root s/sub NN/=56, 130 and 200 GeV obtained by the PHOBOS collaboration at RHIC is given. Measurements of the primary charged particle density near mid-rapidity indicate that particle production grows logarithmically with collision energy and faster than linearly with the number of interacting nucleons. Determination of the collision geometry and measurement of the centrality dependence of dN/d eta at mid-rapidity / Katzy, J M ; Back, B B ; Baker, M D ; Barton, D S ; Betts, R R ; Bindel, R ; Budzanowski, A ; Busza, W ; Carroll, A ; Decowski, M P et al.
The charged particle pseudo-rapidity density at mid-rapidity has been measured as a function of centrality in gold-gold collisions at a center of mass energy of square root s/sub NN/ = 130 GeV using the PHOBOS detector. The charged particle density per nucleon pair increases with the number of participants. [...]
