The excited structure of the single-hole nucleus Sn131 populated by the β− decay of In131 was investigated in detail at the ISOLDE facility at CERN. This work presents the 8-channel FastIC ASIC developed in CMOS 65 nm technology suitable for the readout of positive and negative polarity sensors with intrinsic amplification in High Energy Physics experiments, Positron Emission Tomography and other Time-of-Flight systems. The front-end can be configured to readout each input channel individually or perform analog summation of up to 4 single-ended channels before discrimination in view of extending precise timing to large and segmented areas. We are presenting a novel design of a high performance brain dedicated PET scanner which focuses on optimizing imaging performance in the whole brain, as well as in head and neck, through simultaneous high resolution and high sensitivity. First β-decay spectroscopy of $^{135}$In and new $β$-decay branches of $^{134}$In / IDS Collaboration
The $\beta$ decay of the neutron-rich $^{134}$In and $^{135}$In was investigated experimentally in order to provide new insights into the nuclear structure of the tin isotopes with magic proton number $Z=50$ above the $N=82$ shell. Measurement of the $W$ boson mass / LHCb Collaboration
The $W$ boson mass is measured using proton-proton collision data at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.7 fb$^{-1}$ recorded during 2016 by the LHCb experiment. With a simultaneous fit of the muon $q/p_T$ distribution of a sample of $W \to \mu\nu$ decays and the $\phi^*$ distribution of a sample of $Z\to\mu\mu$ decays the $W$ boson mass is determined to be \begin{equation*} m_{W} = 80354 \pm 23_{\rm stat} \pm 10_{\rm exp} \pm 17_{\rm theory} \pm 9_{\rm PDF}~\mathrm{MeV}, \end{equation*} where uncertainties correspond to contributions from statistical, experimental systematic, theoretical and parton distribution function sources. Measurement of prompt charged-particle production in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13\,\mathrm{TeV}$ / LHCb Collaboration
The differential cross-section of prompt inclusive production of long-lived charged particles in proton-proton collisions is measured using a data sample recorded by the LHCb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of ${\sqrt{s} = 13\,\mathrm{TeV}}$. Observation of excited $\Omega_c^0$ baryons in $\Omega_b^- \to \Xi_c^+ K^-\pi^-$decays / LHCb Collaboration
The first observation of the $\Omega_b^-\to\Xi_c^+ K^- \pi^-$ decay is reported using proton-proton collision data at centre-of-mass energies of $7$, $8$ and $13\,\mathrm{TeV}$ collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $9\,\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. Four excited $\Omega_c^0$ baryons are observed in the $\Xi_c^+ K^-$ mass projection of the $\Omega_b^-\to\Xi_c^+ K^- \pi^-$ decays with significance exceeding five standard deviations. [...]
