The isotopes Cd122,124,126 were studied in a “safe” Coulomb-excitation experiment at the radioactive ion-beam facility REX-ISOLDE at CERN. The reduced transition probabilities B(E2;0g.s.+→21+) and limits for the quadrupole moments of the first 2+ excited states in the three isotopes were determined. [...]

B(E2;2$_{1}^{+}$ $\rightarrow$0$_{1}^{+})$ values have been measured for the unstable nuclei $^{88}$ Kr (N = 52) and $^{92}$Kr (N = 56) using projectile Coulomb excitation at ISOLDE, CERN. With this experiment the local maximum in E(2$_{1}^{+}$) in $^{92}$Kr and the role of the N = 56 subshell closure can be studied..
