Reinterpretation of excited states in $^{212}$Po: Shell-model multiplets rather than $\alpha$-cluster states
/ Fernández, A (CSIC, Madrid) ; Jungclaus, A (CSIC, Madrid) ; Golubev, P (Lund U.) ; Rudolph, D (Lund U.) ; Sarmiento, L G (Lund U.) ; Gargano, A (INFN, Naples) ; Naïdja, H (Constantine U.) ; Astier, A (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Dupont, E (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Gadea, A (Valencia U., IFIC) et al.
A $\gamma$ -ray spectroscopic study of $^{212}$Po was performed at the Grand Accélérateur National d’Ions Lourds, using the inverse kinematics α-transfer reaction $^{12}$C($^{208}$Pb, $^{212}$Po) $^8$Be and the AGATA spectrometer. A careful analysis based on $\gamma \gamma$ coincidence relations allowed us to establish 14 new excited states in the energy range between 1.9 and 3.3 MeV. [...]

A projectile Coulomb-excitation experiment was performed at the radioactive ion beam facility HIE-ISOLDE at CERN. The radioactive $^{140}$Nd and $^{142}$Sm ions were post accelerated to the energy of 4.62 MeV/A and impinged on a 1.45 mg/cm$^2$-thin $^{208}$Pb target. [...]

Tech., Stockholm) ; Barrientos, D (CERN) ; Bazzacco, D (INFN, Padua) ; Bednarczyk, P (Cracow, INP) et al.
The γ -ray emission from the nuclei $^{62,64}$Fe following Coulomb excitation at bombarding energy of 400-440 AMeV was measured with special focus on E 1 transitions in the energy region 4-8 MeV. The unstable neutron-rich nuclei $^{62,64}$Fe were produced at the FAIR-GSI laboratories and selected with the FRS spectrometer. [...]

U. ; Sofiya U.) ; Pietralla, N (Darmstadt, GSI) ; Rainovski, G (Sofiya U.) ; Stegmann, R (Darmstadt, GSI) ; Blazhev, A (Cologne U.) ; Boukhari, A (CERN) ; Cederkäll, J (CERN ; Lund U. (main)) ; Cubiss, J G (York U., England) ; Djongolov, M (Sofiya U.) et al.
A projectile Coulomb-excitation experiment was performed at the radioactive-ion beam facility HIE-ISOLDE at CERN to obtain $E2$ and $M1$ transition matrix elements of $^{140}$Nd using the multistep Coulomb-excitation code GOSIA. The absolute $M1$ strengths, $\textrm{B}(M1;2^+_2→2^+_1)=0.033(8)μ^2_N,\textrm{B}(M1;2^+_3→2^+_1)=0.26^{+0.11}_{−0.10}μ^2_N$, and $\textrm{B}(M1;2^+_4→2^+_1)<0.04μ^2_{\textrm{N}}$, identify the $2^+_3$ state as the main fragment of the one-quadrupole-phonon proton-neutron mixed-symmetry state of $^{140}$Nd. A Coulomb excitation campaign on $^{106,108,110}$Sn at 4.4–4.5 MeV/u was launched at the HIE-ISOLDE facility at CERN. Larger excitation cross sections and γ-ray statistics were achieved compared to previous experiments at ∼2.8 MeV/u. [...]
