CLASH-VLT: The stellar mass function and stellar mass density profile of the z=0.44 cluster of galaxies MACS J1206.2-0847 / Annunziatella, M. (Trieste U. ; Trieste Observ.) ; Biviano, A. (Trieste Observ.) ; Mercurio, A. (Capodimonte Observ.) ; Nonino, M. (Trieste Observ.) ; Rosati, P. (Ferrara U.) ; Balestra, I. (Trieste Observ.) ; Presotto, V. (Trieste U. ; Trieste Observ.) ; Girardi, M. (Trieste Observ. ; Trieste U.) ; Gobat, R. (IRFU, Saclay) ; Grillo, C. (Bohr Inst.) et al.
Context. The study of the galaxy stellar mass function (SMF) in relation to the galaxy environment and the stellar mass density profile, rho(r), is a powerful tool to constrain models of galaxy evolution [...]

Intra Cluster Light properties in the CLASH-VLT cluster MACS J1206.2-0847 / Presotto, V (Trieste U. ; Trieste Observ.) ; Girardi, M (Trieste U. ; Trieste Observ.) ; Nonino, M (Trieste Observ.) ; Mercurio, A (Capodimonte Observ.) ; Grillo, C (DARK Cosmology Ctr.) ; Rosati, P (Ferrara U.) ; Biviano, A (Trieste Observ.) ; Annunziatella, M (Trieste U. ; Trieste Observ.) ; Balestra, I (Trieste Observ. ; Capodimonte Observ.) ; Cui, W (Trieste U. ; Trieste Observ. ; Western Australia U.) et al.
We aim at constraining the assembly history of clusters by studying the intra cluster light (ICL) properties, estimating its contribution to the fraction of baryons in stars, f*, and understanding possible systematics/bias using different ICL detection techniques. We developed an automated method, GALtoICL, based on the software GALAPAGOS to obtain a refined version of typical BCG+ICL maps. [...]

CLASH-VLT: The mass, velocity-anisotropy, and pseudo-phase-space density profiles of the z=0.44 galaxy cluster MACS 1206.2-0847 / Biviano, A. ; Rosati, P. ; Balestra, I. ; Mercurio, A. ; Girardi, M. ; Nonino, M. ; Grillo, C. ; Scodeggio, M. ; Lemze, D. ; Kelson, D. et al.
We use an unprecedented data-set of about 600 redshifts for cluster members, obtained as part of a VLT/VIMOS large programme, to constrain the mass profile of the z=0.44 cluster MACS J1206.2-0847 over the radial range 0-5 Mpc (0-2.5 virial radii) using the MAMPOSSt and Caustic methods. We then add external constraints from the gravitational lensing analysis of Umetsu et al [...]

The Cluster Lensing and Supernova Survey with Hubble (CLASH): Strong Lensing Analysis of Abell 383 from 16-Band HST WFC3/ACS Imaging / Zitrin, A. ; Broadhurst, T. ; Coe, D. ; Umetsu, K. ; Postman, M. ; Benitez, N. ; Meneghetti, M. ; Medezinski, E. ; Jouvel, S. ; Bradley, L. et al.
We examine the inner mass distribution of the relaxed galaxy cluster Abell 383 in deep 16-band HST/ACS+WFC3 imaging taken as part of the CLASH multi-cycle treasury program. Our program is designed to study the dark matter distribution in 25 massive clusters, and balances depth with a wide wavelength coverage to better identify lensed systems and generate precise photometric redshifts [...]
