Experience with Beam Transfer Function Measurements for Setting-up the Stochastic Cooling System in the CERN Anti-Proton Decelerator (AD) / Rey, Stephane (CERN) ; Bastos, Wilker (CERN) ; Caspers, Fritz (CERN) ; Dupuy, Bruno (CERN) ; Gamba, Davide (CERN) ; Höfle, Wolfgang (CERN) ; Louwerse, Reinier (CERN)
Beam transfer function measurements have regularly been used to set-up the adjustable parameters for stochastic cooling systems. We report on the automation of these measurements at CERN that permit efficient set-up of the cooling loops in the anti-proton decelerator (AD) and enables insight into the bandwidth (nominal frequency range of 850 MHz to 1.7 GHz) of the overall system for the longitudinal, horizontal and vertical cooling at the two different beam momenta of 2 GeV/c and 3.5 GeV/c. Recommissioning of the CERN AD Stochastic Cooling System in 2021 after Long Shutdown 2 / Höfle, Wolfgang (CERN) ; Carli, Christian (CERN) ; Caspers, Fritz (CERN) ; Dupuy, Bruno (CERN) ; Gamba, Davide (CERN) ; Louwerse, Reinier (CERN) ; Myklebust, Vebjorn Roed (CERN) ; Oliveira, Joao Carlos (CERN) ; Ponce, Laurette (CERN) ; Rey, Stephane (CERN) et al.
The power system of the Stochastic Cooling System of the anti-proton decelerator AD at CERN, installed on top of the shielding blocks of the AD ring, was completely dismantled during the long shutdown 2 (LS2) at the end of the 2018 run in order to gain access to the accelerator for magnet consolidation. At start-up, this required finding and verifying the correct delays for all 48 power amplifiers feeding to the two kickers by means of beam transfer functions for the two cooling plateaus at 3.57 GeV/c and 2 GeV/c. First Operation for Stochastic Cooling of P-Bars in the CERN AD Using Optical Delay Notch Filter and Plans 2021 Operation / Höfle, Wolfgang (CERN) ; Arnaudon, Luca (CERN) ; Bjørsvik, Endre (CERN) ; Caspers, Fritz (CERN) ; Eriksson, Tommy (CERN) ; Louwerse, Reinier (CERN) ; Myklebust, Vebjorn Roed (CERN)
As part of the consolidation of the stochastic coolingsystem of the CERN Antiproton Decelerator a notch filter with optical delay lines has been developed. During the 2018 run of AD a notch filter with optical delay lines for the longitudinal stochastic cooling at 3.5 GeV/c was successfully tested with beam for the first time. [...]

CERN PS Booster Transverse Damper: 10 kHz - 200 MHz Radiation Tolerant Amplifier for Capacitive PU Signal Conditioning / Meoli, Alessandro (CERN) ; Blas, Alfred (CERN) ; Louwerse, Reinier (CERN)
After connection to the LINAC4, the beam intensity in the PSBooster is expected to double and thus, an upgrade of the head electronics of the transverse feedback BPM is necessary. In order to cover the beam spectrum for an effective transverse damping, the pickup (PU) signal should have a large bandwidth on both the low and high frequency sides. [...]
