/ Weber, Felix (Mainz U., Inst. Phys.) ; Albrecht-Schönzart, Thomas E (Florida State U.) ; Allehabi, Saleh O (New South Wales U.) ; Berndt, Sebastian (Mainz U., Inst. Phys. ; Mainz U.) ; Block, Michael (Darmstadt, GSI ; Mainz U. ; Helmholtz Inst., Mainz) ; Dorrer, Holger (Mainz U.) ; Düllmann, Christoph E (Darmstadt, GSI ; Mainz U. ; Helmholtz Inst., Mainz) ; Dzuba, Vladimir A (New South Wales U.) ; Ezold, Julie G (Oak Ridge) ; Flambaum, Victor V (New South Wales U.) et al.
We report on high-resolution laser spectroscopy studies on Cf249–253 with spectral linewidths in the order of 100 MHz carried out at the RISIKO mass separator at Mainz University. In total three atomic ground-state transitions were investigated and the hyperfine parameters for the odd-A isotopes and isotope shift for all examined isotopes have been determined from the measured spectra. Room-Temperature $^{181}$Ta(TiO$_2$): An e-γ TDPAC Study
/ Yap, Ian Chang Jie (Gottingen U., II. Phys. Inst.) ; Schell, Juliana (CERN ; Duisburg-Essen U.) ; Dang, Thien Thanh (Duisburg-Essen U.) ; Noll, Cornelia (Bonn U., HISKP) ; Beck, Reinhard (Bonn U., HISKP) ; Köster, Ulli (Laue-Langevin Inst.) ; Mansano, Ronaldo (Sao Paulo U.) ; Hofsäss, Hans Christian (Gottingen U., II. Phys. Inst.)
In this work, we report on the hyperfine parameters of the foreign 181Ta probe in the rutile structure of the single crystal TiO2 using the e−γ and γ−γ time differential perturbed angular correlation (TDPAC) technique. We implanted 181Hf ions into a sample of single crystal rutile TiO2 in the Bonn Isotope Separator. [...]

A Thermal Sublimation Generator of $^{131 \textrm{m}}$Xe

Stable and unstable isotopes of the heavy noble gas xenon find use in various medical
applications. However, apart from $^{133}$Xe, used for Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography,
radioactive isotopes of xenon are currently complicated to obtain in small quantities. [...]

Towards in vivo applications of 111Ag perturbed angular correlation of γ-rays (PAC) spectroscopy

$^{111}$Ag-perturbed angular correlation of γ-rays (PAC) spectroscopy provides information on the nuclear quadrupole interactions, and thereby on the local structure and dynamics of the silver ion binding site. Brownian rotational motion, i.e. [...]

The nucleus of the radioisotope thorium-229 (${}^{229}$Th) features an isomer with an exceptionally low excitation energy that enables direct laser manipulation of nuclear states. For this reason, it is a leading candidate for use in next-generation optical clocks. [...]
