In order to study the structural formation yield of germanium-vacancy (GeV) centers from implanted Ge in diamond, we have investigated its lattice location by using the β$^{−}$ emission channeling technique from the radioactive isotope $^{75}$Ge (t$_{1/2}$ = 83 min) produced at the ISOLDE/CERN facility. $^{75}$Ge was introduced via recoil implantation following 30 keV ion implantation of the precursor isotope $^{75}$Ga (126 s) with fluences around 2 × 10$^{12}$–5 × 10$^{13}$ cm$^{−2}$. Terbium-149 (T$_{1/2}$ = 4.1 h, E$_{α}$ = 3.98 MeV (16.7%), 28 µm range in tissue) is a radionuclide with potential for targeted alpha therapy. Emission $^{57}$Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy (eMS), following the implantation of radioactive $^{57}$Mn+ ions, has been used to study the temperature dependence of the hyperfine magnetic field at Fe sites in Ba-doped BiFeO$_3$ (BFO) thin films. $^{57}$Mn β decays (t$_{1/2}$ = 90 s) to the 14.4 keV Mössbauer state of $^{57}$Fe, thus allowing online eMS measurements at a selection of sample temperatures during Mn implantation.
