Terbium-152 is one of four terbium radioisotopes that together form a potential theranostic toolbox for the personalised treatment of tumours. As 152 Tb decay by positron emission it can be utilised for diagnostics by positron emission tomography. [...]

CERN-MEDICIS: A Review Since Commissioning in 2017
/ MEDICIS Collaboration
The CERN-MEDICIS (MEDical Isotopes Collected from ISolde) facility has delivered its first radioactive ion beam at CERN (Switzerland) in December 2017 to support the research and development in nuclear medicine using non-conventional radionuclides. Since then, fourteen institutes, including CERN, have joined the collaboration to drive the scientific program of this unique installation and evaluate the needs of the community to improve the research in imaging, diagnostics, radiation therapy and personalized medicine. Chemical Purification of Terbium-155 from Pseudo-Isobaric Impurities in a Mass Separated Source Produced at CERN
/ Webster, Ben (Teddington, Natl. Phys. Lab ; Surrey U.) ; Ivanov, Peter (Teddington, Natl. Phys. Lab) ; Russell, Ben (Teddington, Natl. Phys. Lab) ; Collins, Sean (Teddington, Natl. Phys. Four terbium radioisotopes ($^{149, 152, 155, 161}$Tb) constitute a potential theranostic quartet for cancer treatment but require any derived radiopharmaceutical to be essentially free of impurities. Terbium-155 prepared by proton irradiation and on-line mass separation at the CERN-ISOLDE and CERN-MEDICIS facilities contains radioactive$^{139}$Ce$^{16}$O and also zinc or gold, depending on the catcher foil used. Landau Damping of the Weak Head-Tail Instability at Tevatron
/ Ivanov, Petr M ; Alexahin, Yuri ; Annala, Jerry ; Lebedev, Valeri ; Shiltsev, Vladimir
Landau damping of the head-tail modes in Tevatron beam with the help of octupole-generated betatron tune spreads permits to reduce chromaticity from 15-20 units to zero thus significantly improving the beam lifetime. The octupole strengths have been experimentally optimized at different stages of the Tevatron operation, from proton injection to collision. [...]
