Multi-Blade detector with VMM3a-ASIC-based readout: installation and commissioning at the reflectometer Amor at PSI / Piscitelli, F. (ESS, Lund) ; Moradi, F. Ghazi (ESS, Lund) ; Alves, F.S. (ESS, Lund) ; Christensen, M.J. (ESS, Lund) ; Hrivnak, J. (ESS, Lund) ; Johansson, A. (ESS, Lund) ; Fissum, K. (ESS, Lund) ; Lai, C.C. (ESS, Lund) ; Monera Martinez, A. (ESS, Lund) ; Pfeiffer, D. (ESS, Lund ; CERN) et al.
The Multi-Blade (MB) Boron-10-based neutron detector is the chosen technology for three instruments at the European Spallation Source (ESS): the two ESS reflectometers, ESTIA and FREIA, and the Test Beam Line. A fourth MB detector has been built, installed and commissioned for the user operation of the reflectometer Amor at PSI (Switzerland). [...]

ICARUS at the Fermilab Short-Baseline Neutrino program: initial operation / ICARUS Collaboration
The ICARUS collaboration employed the 760-ton T600 detector in a successful three-year physics run at the underground LNGS laboratory studying neutrino oscillations with the CERN Neutrino to Gran Sasso beam (CNGS) and searching for atmospheric neutrino interactions. ICARUS performed a sensitive search for LSND-like anomalous $\nu_e$ appearance in the CNGS beam, which contributed to the constraints on the allowed parameters to a narrow region around 1 eV$^2$, where all the experimental results can be coherently accommodated at 90% C.L.. First results on ProtoDUNE-SP liquid argon time projection chamber performance from a beam test at the CERN Neutrino Platform / DUNE Collaboration
The ProtoDUNE-SP detector is a single-phase liquid argon time projection chamber with an active volume of $7.2\times 6.0\times 6.9$ m$^3$. It is installed at the CERN Neutrino Platform in a specially-constructed beam that delivers charged pions, kaons, protons, muons and electrons with momenta in the range 0.3 GeV$/c$ to 7 GeV/$c$. Construction of precision wire readout planes for the Short-Baseline Near Detector (SBND) / SBND Collaboration
The Short-Baseline Near Detector time projection chamber is unique in the design of its charge readout planes. These anode plane assemblies (APAs) have been fabricated and assembled to meet strict accuracy and precision requirements: wire spacing of 3 mm +/- 0.5 mm and wire tension of 7 N +/- 1 N across 3,964 wires per APA, and flatness within 0.5 mm over the 4 m +/- 2.5 m extent of each APA. Integration of the 11-T Nb$_{3}$Sn Dipoles and Collimators in the LHC / Ramos, Délio (CERN) ; Savary, Frederic (CERN) ; Prin, Hervé (CERN) ; Parma, Vittorio (CERN) ; Hrivnak, Jan (CERN) ; Mucher, Christophe (CERN) ; Gentini, Luca (CERN) ; Redaelli, Stefano (CERN)
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) collimation system upgrade plan comprises new collimators in the dispersion suppressors. The length required for each collimator along the LHC lattice is obtained by replacing an LHC main dipole and its cryostat with two shorter but stronger 11-T Nb_3Sn magnets keeping the equivalent integrated field of the dipole removed. Design Studies of the Upgraded Collimation System in the SPS-to-LHC Transfer Lines / Mereghetti, Alessio (CERN) ; Bracco, Chiara (CERN) ; Cerutti, Francesco (CERN) ; Goddard, Brennan (CERN) ; Hrivnak, Jan (CERN) ; Kain, Verena (CERN) ; Maciariello, Fausto L (CERN) ; Meddahi, Malika (CERN) ; Steele, Genevieve E (CERN) ; Appleby, Robert (Unlisted, UK)
In the framework of the LHC Injectors Upgrade (LIU) Project, the collimators in the SPS-to-LHC transfer lines are presently under re-design, in order to cope with the unprecedented beam intensities and emittances required by the High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC). Factors ruling the design phase are the robustness of the jaws on one side and, on the other side, the proton absorption and the emittance blow-up, essential for an effective protection of the equipment in the LHC injection regions and the LHC machine.
