Monitored neutrino beams are a novel technology designed to provide measurements of the neutrino cross sections at GeV scale with a total uncertainty of O(1%), thus improving by one order of magnitude current experimental estimates. The ENUBET project is close to proving for the first time the feasibility of this concept and the Collaboration is preparing a proposal for a new neutrino beam at CERN based on the SPS accelerator and the ProtoDUNEs neutrino detectors that are already operative at the North Experimental Area. The emerging field of ultra-fast timing has enormous potential in high-energy physics, nuclear medicine, and imaging, and is driving advances in detector and readout electronics. To achieve improved time resolution, significant efforts have been devoted to this field, resulting in impressive coincidence time resolution (CTR) values for silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) and scintillator crystals using state-of-the-art high-frequency (HF) readout. Monitored neutrino beams are facilities where beam diagnostics enable the counting and identification of charged leptons in the decay tunnel of a narrow band beam. These facilities can monitor neutrino production at the single particle level (flux precision %) and provide information about the neutrino energy at the 10% level. [...]

Design and performance of the ENUBET monitored neutrino beam / ENUBET Collaboration
The ENUBET project is aimed at designing and experimentally demonstrating the concept of monitored neutrino beams. These novel beams are enhanced by an instrumented decay tunnel, whose detectors reconstruct large-angle charged leptons produced in the tunnel and give a direct estimate of the neutrino flux at the source. [...]

In this paper, different Silicon PhotoMultiplier (SiPM) sensors have been tested with charged particles to characterize the Cherenkov light produced in the sensor protection layer. A careful position scan of the SiPM response has been performed with different prototypes, confirming the large number of firing cells and proving almost full efficiency, with the SiPM filling factor essentially negligible. Silicon Photomultiplier technologies developed at FBK: roadmap towards 3D integrated devices / Gola, Alberto (speaker) (Fondazione Bruno Kessler (IT))
Thanks to the continuous improvement of their performance, Silicon Photomultiplier are now considered for the upgrades of several, big physics experiments, ranging from High-energy Physics to rare events physics, to astroparticle physics. Several sensor parameters contribute to the performance achieved in these applications. [...]

The NP06/ENUBET Project: Towards a Monitored Neutrino Beam / ENUBET Collaboration
The ENUBET experiment is developing a new narrow-band neutrino beam in which the flux and the flavor composition are known at 1$\%$ level, and the energy with O(10$\%$) precision. Such a goal is accomplished monitoring the associated charged leptons produced in the decay region of the ENUBET facility: $e^{+}$ and $\mu^{+}$ from kaons are measured by a segmented calorimeter instrumenting the walls of the decay tunnel, while muon stations after the hadron dump can monitor muons from pions.
