The LHCb upgrade I / LHCb Collaboration
The LHCb upgrade represents a major change of the experiment. The detectors have been almost completely renewed to allow running at an instantaneous luminosity five times larger than that of the previous running periods. [...]

The Silicon Electron Multiplier sensor / Halvorsen, Marius Mæhlum (CERN ; Oslo U.) ; Coco, Victor (CERN) ; Gkougkousis, Evangelos Leonidas (CERN) ; Collins, Paula (CERN) ; Girard, Olivier (CEA-DTA-LETI, Grenoble)
The Silicon Electron Multiplier (SiEM) is a novel sensor concept for minimum ionizing particle (MIP) detection which uses internal gain and fine pitch to achieve excellent temporal and spatial resolution. In contrast to sensors where the gain region is induced by doping (LGADs, APDs), amplification in the SiEM is achieved by applying an electric potential difference in a composite electrode structure embedded within the silicon bulk using MEMS fabrication techniques. Knowledge of the beam properties in proton therapy through beam monitoring is essential, ensuring an effective dose delivery to the patient. In clinical practice, currently used interceptive ionisation chambers require daily calibration and suffer from a slow response time. [...]

Search for $CP$ violation in $\Xi_c^+\rightarrow pK^-\pi^+$ decays using model-independent techniques / LHCb Collaboration
A first search for $CP$ violation in the Cabibbo-suppressed $\Xi_c^+\rightarrow pK^-\pi^+$ decay is performed using both a binned and an unbinned model-independent technique in the Dalitz plot. The studies are based on a sample of proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $3.0~\rm fb^{-1}$, and collected by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of $7$ and $8~\rm TeV$. Measurement of the shape of the $ {B}_s^0\to {D}_s^{\ast -}{\mu}^{+}{\nu}_{\mu } $ differential decay rate / LHCb Collaboration
The shape of the $B_s^0\rightarrow D_s^{*-}\mu^+\nu_{\mu}$ differential decay rate is obtained as a function of the hadron recoil using proton-proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.7 fb$^{-1}$ collected by the LHCb detector. The $B_s^0\rightarrow D_s^{*-}\mu^+\nu_{\mu}$ decay is reconstructed through the decays $D_s^{*-}\rightarrow D_s^{-}\gamma$ and $D_s^{-}\rightarrow K^-K^+\pi^-$. [...]

Search for the lepton flavour violating decay $B^+ \rightarrow K^+ \mu^- \tau^+$ using $B_{s2}^{*0}$ decays / LHCb Collaboration
A search is presented for the lepton flavour violating decay $B^+ \rightarrow K^+ \mu^- \tau^+$ using a sample of proton--proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, collected with the LHCb detector and corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9 fb${}^{-1}$. The $\tau$ leptons are selected inclusively, primarily via decays with a single charged particle. [...]

Measurement of $CP$ observables in $B^\pm \to D K^\pm$ and $B^\pm \to D \pi^\pm$ with $D \to K_{\rm{S}}^0 K^\pm \pi^\mp$ decays / LHCb Collaboration
Measurements of $CP$ observables in $B^\pm \to D K^\pm$ and $B^\pm \to D \pi^\pm$ decays are presented, where $D$ represents a superposition of $D^0$ and $\bar{D}^0$ states. The $D$ meson is reconstructed in the three-body final state $K_{\rm{S}}^0 K^\pm \pi^\mp$. [...]

Measurement of the branching fraction of the decay $B_s^0\to K_S^0 K_S^0$ / LHCb Collaboration
A measurement of the branching fraction of the decay $B_s^0 \to K_S^0 K_S^0$ is performed using proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5 fb$^{-1}$ collected by the LHCb experiment between 2011 and 2016. The branching fraction is determined to be$$ \mathcal{B}(B_s^0 \to K_S^0 K_S^0) = [8.3 \pm 1.6 (\rm{stat}) \pm 0.9 (\rm{syst}) \pm 0.8 (\rm{norm}) \pm 0.3 (f_s/f_d)] \times 10^{-6}, $$ where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third and fourth are due to uncertainties on the $B^0 \to \phi K_S^0$ branching fraction and the ratio of hadronization fractions $f_s/f_d$ [...]

The observed signal yield is consistent with zero, yielding an upper limit of ${\cal B}(K^0_{\mathrm{S}}\rightarrow\mu^{+}\mu^{-}) < 2.2 \times 10^{-10}$ at 90% CL. [...]
