We extend the recently presented, fully exclusive, next-to-leading-order accurate event generator for the simulation of massless neutral- and charged-current deep inelastic scattering (DIS) to the case of incoming neutrinos. [...]

Flavor Identification of Reconstructed Hadronic Jets
/ Gauld, Rhorry (U. Bonn, Phys. Inst., BCTP ; Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Huss, Alexander (CERN) ; Stagnitto, Giovanni (Zurich U.)
Identifying the flavour of reconstructed hadronic jets is critical for precision phenomenology and the search for new physics at collider experiments, as it allows to pinpoint specific scattering processes and reject backgrounds. Jet measurements at the LHC are almost universally performed using the anti-$k_T$ algorithm, however no approach exists to define the jet flavour for this algorithm that is infrared and collinear (IRC) safe. The Forward Physics Facility at the High-Luminosity LHC
/ Feng, Jonathan L. (UC, Irvine) ; Kling, Felix (DESY) ; Reno, Mary Hall (Iowa U.) ; Rojo, Juan (NIKHEF, Amsterdam ; Vrije U., Amsterdam) ; Soldin, Dennis (Delaware U.) ; Anchordoqui, Luis A. High energy collisions at the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (LHC) produce a large number of particles along the beam collision axis, outside of the acceptance of existing LHC experiments. The proposed Forward Physics Facility (FPF), to be located several hundred meters from the ATLAS interaction point and shielded by concrete and rock, will host a suite of experiments to probe Standard Model (SM) processes and search for physics beyond the Standard Model (BSM) [...]

Jet cross sections and transverse momentum distributions with NNLOJET
/ Gehrmann, Thomas (Zurich U.) ; Chen, Xuan (Zurich U.) ; Cruz-Martinez, Juan (Durham U., IPPP) ; Currie, James R. (Durham U., IPPP) ; Glover, E.W.Nigel (Durham U., IPPP) ; Morgan, Thomas A. This talk discusses recent results for next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) QCD corrections to jet cross sections and transverse momentum distributions. The results are obtained in the NNLOJET code framework, which provides an implementation of the antenna subtraction method for the handling of infrared singular contributions at NNLO. [...]

Working Group 5: Physics with Heavy Flavours
/ Giammanco, Andrea (Louvain U., CP3) ; Gauld, Rhorry (Zurich, ETH) ; Pearce, Alex (CERN)
This paper summarises a few selected topics discussed during Working Group 5 of the Deep Inelastic Scattering 2017 conference, Physics with Heavy Flavours, related to the study of charm, bottom, and top quark physics. While the programme of this Working Group was structured by thematic areas, this conference was the occasion for intense cross-pollination between traditionally disjoint research lines. [...]

A precise measurement of the $B^0$ meson oscillation frequency
/ LHCb collaboration
The oscillation frequency, $\Delta m_d$, of $B^0$ mesons is measured using semileptonic decays with a $D^-$ or $D^{*-}$ meson in the final state, in a data sample of $pp$ collisions collected by the LHCb detector corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0$\mbox{fb}^{-1}$. A combination of the two decay modes gives $\Delta m_d = (505.0 \pm 2.1 \pm 1.0) \rm \,ns^{-1}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. [...]
