In the scope of the High Luminosity program of the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, the ATLAS and CMS experiments are advancing the preparation for the production, commissioning and installation of their new environment-friendly low-temperature detector cooling systems for their new trackers, calorimeters and timing layers. The selected secondary ¿on-detector¿ CO₂ pumped loop concept is the evolution of the successful 2PACL technique allowing for oil-free, stable, low-temperature control. [...]

Nonresonant central exclusive production of charged-hadron pairs in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV / CMS and TOTEM Collaboration
The central exclusive production of charged-hadron pairs in pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV is examined, based on data collected in a special high-$ \beta^* $ run of the LHC. The nonresonant continuum processes are studied with the invariant mass of the centrally produced two-pion system in the resonance-free region, $ m_{\pi^{+}\pi^{-}} < $ 0.7 GeV or $ m_{\pi^{+}\pi^{-}} > $ 1.8 GeV. In the frame of the progress towards the High Luminosity Program of the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, the ATLAS and CMS experiments are boosting the preparation of their new environmental friendly low temperature detector cooling systems. This paper will present a general overview of the progress in development and construction of the future CO2 cooling systems for silicon detectors at ATLAS and CMS (trackers, calorimeters and timing layers), due for implementation during the 3rd Long Shut Down of LHC (LS3). Search for high-mass exclusive diphoton production with tagged protons in proton-proton collisions at $ \sqrt{s} = $ 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A search is presented for high-mass exclusive diphoton production via photon-photon fusion in proton-proton collisions at $ \sqrt{s} = $ 13 TeV in events where both protons survive the interaction. The analysis utilizes data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 103 fb$ ^{-1} $ collected in 2016--2018 with the central CMS detector and the CMS and TOTEM precision proton spectrometer (PPS). Search for central exclusive production of top quark pairs in proton-proton collisions at $ \sqrt{s} $ = 13 TeV with tagged protons / CMS Collaboration
A search for the central exclusive production of top quark-antiquark pairs ($ \mathrm{t} \bar{\mathrm{t}} $) is performed for the first time using proton-tagged events in proton-proton collisions at the LHC at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 29.4 fb$ ^{-1} $. [...]

The ATLAS experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider: a description of the detector configuration for Run 3 / ATLAS Collaboration
The ATLAS detector is installed in its experimental cavern at Point 1 of the CERN Large Hadron Collider. During Run 2 of the LHC, a luminosity of $\mathcal{L}=2\times 10^{34}\mathrm{cm}^{-2}\mathrm{s}^{-1}$ was routinely achieved at the start of fills, twice the design luminosity. [...]

A search for new physics in central exclusive production using the missing mass technique with the CMS detector and the CMS-TOTEM precision proton spectrometerA search for new physics in central exclusive production using the missing mass technique with the CMS detector and the CMS-TOTEM precision proton spectrometer / CMS Collaboration
A generic search is presented for the associated production of a Z boson or a photon with an additional unspecified massive particle X, $ \mathrm{p}\mathrm{p}\to \mathrm{p}\mathrm{p} +\mathrm{Z}/\gamma+\mathrm{X} $, in proton-tagged events from proton-proton collisions at $ \sqrt{s}= $ 13 TeV, recorded in 2017 with the CMS detector and the CMS-TOTEM precision proton spectrometer. The missing mass spectrum is analysed in the 600-1600 GeV range and a fit is performed to search for possible deviations from the background expectation. [...]

A search is performed for exclusive high-mass $ \gamma\gamma \to \mathrm{W}\mathrm{W} $ and $ \gamma\gamma \to \mathrm{Z}\mathrm{Z} $ production in proton-proton collisions using intact forward protons reconstructed in near-beam detectors, with both weak bosons decaying into boosted and merged jets. The analysis is based on a sample of proton-proton collisions collected by the CMS and TOTEM experiments at $ \sqrt{s}= $ 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 100 fb$ ^{-1} $. [...]
