The excited states of $N=44$$^{74}$Zn were investigated via $\gamma$-ray spectroscopy following $^{74}$Cu $\beta$ decay. By exploiting $\gamma$-$\gamma$ angular correlation analysis, the $2_2^+$, $3_1^+$, $0_2^+$ and $2_3^+$ states in $^{74}$Zn were firmly established. [...]

Highly charged radioactive ions can be stored for extended periods of time in storage rings which allows for precision measurements of their decay modes. The straightforward motivation for performing such studies is that fully ionised nuclei or few-electron ions can be viewed as clean quantum-mechanical systems, in which the interactions of the many electrons can be either excluded or treated precisely. New test of modulated electron capture decay of hydrogen-like $^{142}$Pm ions: precision measurement of purely exponential decay / FRS-ESR Collaboration
An experiment addressing electron capture (EC) decay of hydrogen-like $^{142}$Pm$^{60+}$ ions has been conducted at the experimental storage ring (ESR) at GSI. The decay appears to be purely exponential and no modulations were observed. [...]

Stellar and thermal neutron capture cross section of $^9$Be / Wallner, A (Vienna U. ; Australian Natl. U., Canberra (main)) ; Bichler, M (Vienna, Tech. U., Atominst.) ; Coquard, L (KIT, Karlsruhe) ; Dillmann, I (KIT, Karlsruhe) ; Forstner, O (U. Vienna (main)) ; Golser, R (U. The neutron capture cross section of Be9 for stellar energies was measured via the activation technique using the Karlsruhe Van de Graaff accelerator in combination with accelerator mass spectrometry at the Vienna Environmental Research Accelerator. To characterize the energy region of interest for astrophysical applications, activations were performed in a quasistellar neutron spectrum of kT=25 keV and for a spectrum at En=473±53 keV. [...]

Measurement and analysis of the $^{241}$Am neutron capture cross section at the n_TOF facility at CERN / Mendoza, E (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Cano-Ott, D (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Altstadt, S (Goethe U., Frankfurt (main)) ; Andriamonje, S (IRFU, Saclay) ; Andrzejewski, J (Lodz U.) ; Audouin, L (Orsay, IPN) ; Balibrea, J (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Bécares, V (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Barbagallo, M (INFN, Bari) ; Bečvář, F (Charles U.) et al. /n_TOF
The Am241(n,γ) cross section has been measured at the n_TOF facility at CERN with the n_TOF BaF2 Total Absorption Calorimeter in the energy range between 0.2 eV and 10 keV. Our results are analyzed as resolved resonances up to 700 eV, allowing a more detailed description of the cross section than in the current evaluations, which contain resolved resonances only up to 150–160 eV. Measurement of the $^{241}$Am neutron capture cross section at the n_TOF facility at CERN / Mendoza, E (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Cano-Ott, D ; Altstadt, S ; Andriamonje, S ; Andrzejewski, J ; Audouin, L ; Balibrea, J ; Bécares, V ; Barbagallo, M ; Bečvář, F et al. /n_TOF
New neutron cross section measurements of minor actinides have been performed recently in order to reduce the uncertainties in the evaluated data, which is important for the design of advanced nuclear reactors and, in particular, for determining their performance in the transmutation of nuclear waste. We have measured the $^{241} \text{Am(n}, \gamma)$ cross section at the n_TOF facility between 0.2 eV and 10 keV with a BaF$_2$ Total Absorption Calorimeter, and the analysis of the measurement has been recently concluded. The n_TOF neutron time-of-flight facility at CERN is used for high quality nuclear data measurements from thermal energy up to hundreds of MeV. In line with the CERN open data policy, the n_TOF Collaboration takes actions to preserve its unique data, facilitate access to them in standardised format, and allow their re-use by a wide community in the fields of nuclear physics, nuclear astrophysics and various nuclear technologies. The technique of accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS), offering a complementary tool for sensitive studies of key reactions in nuclear astrophysics, was applied for measurements of the C13(n,γ)C14 and the N14(n,p)C14 cross sections, which act as a neutron poison in s-process nucleosynthesis. Solid samples were irradiated at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology with neutrons closely resembling a Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution for kT=25 keV, and also at higher energies between En=123 and 182 keV.
