Report on recent activities in HV-CMOS detectors for Mu3e, ATLAS and RD50 / Vilella, E (Liverpool U.) ; Alonso, O (U. Barcelona (main)) ; Buckland, M (Liverpool U.) ; Casanova, R (Barcelona, IFAE) ; Casse, G (Liverpool U.) ; Dieguez, A (Liverpool U.) ; Meng, L (Liverpool U.) ; Peric, I (KIT, Karlsruhe, IPE) ; Powell, S (Liverpool U.) ; Vossebeld, J (Liverpool U.) et al.
Due to their advantages in comparison to other state-of-the-art sensor technologies, High Voltage-Monolithic Active Pixel Sensors (HV-MAPS) are making their way into experiments in particle physics. The Mu3e MuPix tracker represents the first use of HV-MAPS sensors in a particle physics experiment. [...]

A High Dynamic Range Diamond Detector Readout System for the CERN Beam Wire Scanners Program / Sirvent Blasco, Jose (CERN) ; Dehning, Bernd (CERN) ; Dieguez, Angel (Barcelona U.) ; Emery, Jonathan (CERN)
A secondary particle shower acquisition system is under design for the upgrade of CERN's beam wire scanners. The system needs to be capable of performing bunch-by-bunch synchronous measurements with an integration time of 25 ns and to cope with signal variations of up to 6 orders of magnitude. [...]

High dynamic range diamond detector acquisition system for beam wire scanner applications / Sirvent, J L (CERN ; Barcelona U.) ; Dehning, B (CERN) ; Piselli, E (CERN) ; Emery, J (CERN) ; Dieguez, A (Barcelona U.)
The CERN Beam Instrumentation group has been working during the last years on the beam wire scanners upgrade to cope up with the increasing requirements of CERN experiments. These devices are used to measure the beam profile by crossing a thin wire through a circulating beam, the resulting secondary particles produced from beam/wire interaction are detected and correlated with the wire position to reconstruct the beam profile. [...]

Secondary particle acquisition system for the CERN beam wire scanners upgrade / Sirvent, J L (CERN ; Barcelona U.) ; Dehning, B (CERN) ; Emery, J (CERN) ; Diéguez, A (Barcelona U.)
The increasing requirements of CERN experiments make essential the upgrade of beam instrumentation in general, and high accuracy beam profile monitors in particular. The CERN Beam Instrumentation Group has been working during the last years on the Wire Scanners upgrade. [...]

DEPFET active pixel detectors for a future linear $e^+e^-$ collider / DEPFET Collaboration
The DEPFET collaboration develops highly granular, ultra-transparent active pixel detectors for high-performance vertex reconstruction at future collider experiments. The characterization of detector prototypes has proven that the key principle, the integration of a first amplification stage in a detector-grade sensor material, can provide a comfortable signal to noise ratio of over 40 for a sensor thickness of 50-75 $\mathrm{\mathbf{\mu m}}$. [...]

SPADs for Vertex Tracker detectors in Future Colliders / Vilella, E (UB) ; Alonso, O (UB) ; Vila, A (UB) ; Dieguez, A (UB)
Physics aims at the future linear colliders impose such stringent requirements on detector systems that exceed those met by any previous technology. Amongst other novel technologies, SPADs (Single Photon Avalanche Diodes) detectors are being developed to track high energy particles at ILC (International Linear Collider) and CLIC (Compact LInear Collider). A test beam set-up for the characterization of the Geiger-mode avalanche photodiode technology for particle tracking / Vilella, A (UB) ; Alonso, A (UB) ; Trenado, J (UB) ; Vila, A (UB) ; Casanova, R (UB) ; Vos, M (IFIC) ; Garrido, L (UB) ; Dieguez, A (UB)
It is well known that avalanche photodiodes operated in the Geiger mode above the breakdown voltage offer a virtually infinite gain and time accuracy in the picosecond range that can be used for single photon detection. However, their performance in particle detection still remains unexplored. [...]

3D integration of Geiger-mode avalanche photodiodes aimed to very high fill-factor pixels for future linear colliders  / Vilella, E (UB) ; Alonso, O (UB) ; Dieguez, A (UB)
This paper presents an analysis of the maximum achievable fill-factor by a pixel detector of Geiger-mode avalanche photodiodes with the Chartered 130 nm/Tezzaron 3D process. The analysis shows that fillfactors between 66% and 96% can be obtained with different array architectures and a time-gated readout circuit of minimum area. [...]
