A procedure developed to achieve particle identification in very high multiplicity conditions using a complex time-of-flight system is illustrated in detail by simulating and studying the performance of the ALICE TOF detector in a realistic scenario of Pb-Pb and p-p interactions at LHC..

The validity of CPT invariance in the field of “nuclear binding masses” has been studied for nuclei (antinuclei) with two and three nucleons (antinucleons): (d∕d̄) and (3He∕3He¯). It is discussed the importance of investigating the transition from the world where gluons and quarks carry their QCD colors (QGCW) to the world where gluons and quarks exist only with zero-QCD-color (QGZCW)..

Since the beginning of commissioning of the ALICE-TOF detector, one of the most crucial aspects has been to check the quality of the data produced. Both during last November tests at the CERN PS and in the cosmic-ray test facility, running since more than one year, the data taking of assembled TOF "modules" has been continuously monitored in order to detect as quickly as possible faulty conditions or bad detector configurations. The double–stack MRPC (Multigap Resistive Plate Chamber) strip is the basic element of the ALICE Time–Of–Flight (TOF) detector. A test of a sample of MRPC strips randomly chosen from two years of mass production (the TOF is made of 1638 strips) was carried out during the autumn of 2006 at the CERN Proton Syncrotron facility. Multiplicity Dependence of Pion, Kaon, Proton and Lambda Production in p-Pb Collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV / ALICE Collaboration
In this Letter, comprehensive results on $\pi^{\pm}, K^{\pm}, K^0_S$, $p(\bar{p})$ and $\Lambda (\bar{\Lambda})$ production at mid-rapidity (0 < $y_{CMS}$ < 0.5) in p-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV, measured by the ALICE detector at the LHC, are reported. The transverse momentum distributions exhibit a hardening as a function of event multiplicity, which is stronger for heavier particles. [...]

K$^0_S$ and $\Lambda$ production in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 2.76 TeV / ALICE Collaboration
The ALICE measurement of K$^0_S$ and $\Lambda$ production at mid-rapidity in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 2.76 TeV is presented. Multiplicity dependence of the average transverse momentum in pp, p-Pb, and Pb-Pb collisions at the LHC / ALICE Collaboration
The average transverse momentum <$p_T$> versus the charged-particle multiplicity $N_{ch}$ was measured in p-Pb collisions at a collision energy per nucleon-nucleon pair $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV and in pp collisions at collision energies of $\sqrt{s}$ = 0.9, 2.76, and 7 Tev in the kinematic range 0.15 < $p_T$ < 10.0 Gev/c and |$\eta$| < 0.3 with the ALICE apparatus at the LHC. These data are compared to results in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 2.76 Tev at similar charged-particle multiplicities. [...]
