The recent observation of the $K^+ \to \pi^+ \nu\bar\nu$ decay by NA62 is an important milestone in precision flavor physics. [...]

New strategies for probing $B\to D^\ast \ell\bar\nu_\ell$ lattice and experimental data / Bordone, Marzia (CERN) ; Juttner, Andreas (U. Southampton (main) ; CERN)
We present an analysis of the exclusive semileptonic decay $B\to D^\ast \ell\bar\nu_\ell$ based on the Belle and Belle II data made public in 2023, combined with recent lattice-QCD calculations of the hadronic transition form factors by FNAL/MILC, HPQCD and JLQCD. [...]

Short- vs. long-distance physics in $B\rightarrow K^{(*)} \ell ^+\ell ^-$: a data-driven analysis / Bordone, Marzia (CERN) ; isidori, Gino (Zurich U.) ; Mächler, Sandro (Zurich U.) ; Tinari, Arianna (Zurich U.)
We analyze data on $B\to K\mu^+\mu^-$ and $B\to K^*\mu^+\mu^-$ decays in the whole dilepton invariant mass spectrum with the aim of disentangling short- vs. long-distance contributions. [...]

Focus topics for the ECFA study on Higgs / Top / EW factories / de Blas, Jorge (Granada U.) ; Koppenburg, Patrick (Nikhef, Amsterdam) ; List, Jenny (DESY) ; Maltoni, Fabio (Louvain U.) ; Maestre, Juan Alcaraz (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Alimena, Juliette (DESY) ; Alison, John (Carnegie Mellon U.) ; Azzi, Patrizia (INFN, Padua) ; Azzurri, Paolo (INFN, Pisa) ; Bagnaschi, Emanuele (CERN ; INFN, Italy) et al.
In order to stimulate new engagement and trigger some concrete studies in areas where further work would be beneficial towards fully understanding the physics potential of an $e^+e^-$ Higgs / Top / Electroweak factory, we propose to define a set of focus topics. [...]

Kaon physics is at a turning point -- while the rare-kaon experiments NA62 and KOTO are in full swing, the end of their lifetime is approaching and the future experimental landscape needs to be defined. With HIKE, KOTO-II and LHCb-Phase-II on the table and under scrutiny, it is a very good moment in time to take stock and contemplate about the opportunities these experiments and theoretical developments provide for particle physics in the coming decade and beyond. QED effects in inclusive semi-leptonic $B$ decays / Bigi, Dante (CERN ; Turin U. ; Munich, Max Planck Inst. ; Munich, Tech. U.) ; Bordone, Marzia (CERN) ; Gambino, Paolo (Turin U. ; Munich, Max Planck Inst. ; Munich, Tech. U.) ; Haisch, Ulrich (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Piccione, Andrea (Turin U.)
We analyse in detail the QED corrections to the total decay width and the moments of the electron energy spectrum of the inclusive semi-leptonic $B \to X_c e \nu$ decay. Our calculation includes short-distance electroweak corrections, the complete ${\cal O}(\alpha)$ partonic terms and leading-logarithmic QED effects up to ${\cal O}(\Lambda^3_{\rm QCD}/m_b^3)$. [...]

$\tau _{B_{s}}/\tau _{B_{d}}$ and $\Delta \Gamma _{s}$ confront new physics in $b\rightarrow s\tau \tau $ / Bordone, Marzia (CERN) ; Fernández Navarro, Mario (Southampton U.)
Several new physics scenarios that address anomalies in $B$-physics predict an enhancement of $b \rightarrow s \tau \tau$ with respect to its Standard Model prediction. Such scenarios necessarily imply modifications of the lifetime ratio $\tau_{B_{s}}/\tau_{B_{d}}$ and the lifetime difference $\Delta\Gamma_{s}$. [...]

New sum rules for the B$_{c}$→ J/ψ form factors / Bordone, Marzia (CERN) ; Khodjamirian, Alexander (Siegen U.) ; Mannel, Th. (Siegen U.)
We derive new sum rules for the form factors of the $B_c\to J/\psi\, \ell \bar{\nu}_\ell$ semileptonic transitions, employing the vacuum-to-$B_c$ correlation function of the $J/\psi$-interpolating and $b\to c$ weak currents. In the heavy quark limit and at a space-like momentum transfer to the weak current, a local operator-product expansion is valid for this correlation function. [...]

Dispersive analysis of Λ$_{b}$ → Λ(1520) local form factors / Amhis, Yasmine (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Bordone, Marzia (CERN) ; Reboud, Méril (Munich, Tech. U.)
We perform an analysis of $\Lb\to\L(1520)$ local form factors. We use dispersive techniques to provide a model-independent parametrisation of the form factors that can be used in the whole kinematic region. [...]
