We were going 160 on the highway from Muscat to Salalah.
The temperature outside was around 50 degrees celsius (122 degrees F)! There was nothing but black desert all around, and then, one of our tires blew out. The closest petrol station was 300kms away on both sides and there was nothingness all around.
Finally we stopped a police patrol and they helped us get towed to Haima (one of the most god forsaken places I’ve ever been to!). We spent the night in a cockroach infested trucker’s stop.
