Finally - My etsy shop is full and a little shopping of my own!

It's only taken me a few months, but my etsy shop is finally full. I feel like it is such a guessing game. Sometimes I think I've come up with something wonderful and it flops so I guess we will see. So I've taken a bunch of pictures to attempt to sell you on my new little creation. Take a look and give me your opinion, and if you really like them, go click on my etsy shop on the right sidebar!

This one is my favorite, I just may have to go to hobby lobby for some more of this fabric.

This fabric is one of Moda's newest fabrics. It's called Gobble Gobble, perfect for fall.

You just can't go wrong with damask and polka dots!

I've loved this fabric since I first saw it, I also used it on the Monogrammed t-shirt I made for my daughter.

Today I got the chance to go to one of my favorite stores, Tai Pan. I wish I would have taken more pictures, but I started feeling like everyone was watching me and wimped out.....sorry!
This is their red Coca Cola display, I really want that red fridge, not sure where I'd put it, but it's so stinkin cute.

A few Halloween decorations. This store is like the size of Home Depot, but full of Home Decor, I just love it!

Here is their fall tree. Sorry, not the greatest picture. I'll try and get more gutsy and take more pictures around Christmas time.

First off thank you all so much for entering the giveaway. I never thought that many people would enter, and you all said such nice things that made my head get bigger and bigger (just kidding), it's not like designed the fabric! Ribbon Blanket and Block tutorial and another Great Giveaway!!!

The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day!!!

I think this must have been how my son was feeling yesterday. Monday night he announced that his teacher had sent him to the principals office. I was like, what kind of teacher sends a kindergartner to the principals office on his first day of school. I asked him lots of questions trying to decided if this was just some story he had come up with, after about ten minutes of questioning I decided he was telling the truth. He said some kid pushed him down so the teacher sent them both of them to the office.

I know probably every parent thinks this, but my son really isn't the type to get in fights with kids. If anything he's the biggest pushover you've ever met. He lets his two year old brother pick on him for heck sakes. Needless to say as the night went on the more upset I was. But, that night and morning his story stayed the same. I decided that the next day I would go and talk to his teacher.

So that day I got my act together and went into talk to his teacher. I walked in and said, "So, Mr M. here said he was sent to the principals office yesterday. " She said, "No he wasn't, she looked at him and said, Mr. M. "Did you get sent to the principals office." Right away he pipes up and tells me it was just a joke. I wanted to wring his little neck. I felt like such a dork. So............he won't be playing with any friends this week.

Later that day my husband decided to take the kids on a walk and give me a little break. About a half hour later I hear Mr. M screaming his guts out. He does this often so I sorta ignored it. I figured he'd gotten in trouble or something. Then my husband yells for me to come and help. Poor guy had biffed if BAD on his bike and was all scraped up. He looked awful, I'll prove it. Luckily for us my husband had bought him a helmet just a few days earlier or it could have been so much worse.

I felt so bad for him, you could tell it hurt so much. All he wanted that night was for me to rub his back, he said it made if feel better.

I kept him home from school today, you could tell he just hurt, he seems to be doing lots better this afternoon, lets hope tomorrow is a better day!

I did get in a little sewing yesterday before, or I guess in between all the drama, here is a sneak peek. That fabric is called Gobble Gobble, and is by Sandi Gervais, it's in stores now. I better get my act together since fall is just a couple week away, I so excited!!!

Monnogrammed T-Shirts

With two out of three kids in school and #3 napping I actually had time for some projects I've been meaning to get to for a very long time. I bought this T-Shirt for my daughters birthday that was over a month ago intending to put something cute on it but just got to it yesterday.

I do love how it turned out though. I had some extra fabric left over so I decided to make a little tie for her hair. I think I better take advantage of the fact that she will still let me make cutsie things like this for her, because I'm sure in a couple years it will end.

If you want to make one click on the 4th of July T-shirts under tutorials. It is basically the same process except you need to trace the letter onto the textured side of the Wonder Under, otherwise your letter will be backwards. I just went into Word, found a letter I liked that wouldn't be to hard to sew around and that would show a decent amount of fabric. I think I put the font at like 350 and then printed it out.

Or, if you'd like, I'm considering taking special orders. I really had a lot of fun making it and so let me know if you would be interested. I'm think the cost would be around $15.00. It doesn't have to be out of the fabric I choose either. I have a variety of fabrics that could be used.
