2 Genre My book is fantasy fiction because a giant chocolate factory would not have workers called Oompa Loompas, mix chocolate with a waterfall, have squirrels checking for good and bad nuts or be able to make people travel by tv. The chocolate factory also makes candies and other foods that I do not think could be made in real life. For example, the chewing gum that is a whole meal in one stick or grass you could eat. 3 Setting The first setting in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is in a wooden shack. Charlie Bucket, his mom and dad and four grandparents live in this house. Their house only has one bed and the roof is full of holes. The Bucket family doesn’t have enough money to fix it up. The second setting is in a huge chocolate factory in the town where Charlie Bucket lives. A man named Mr. Wonka owns the factory. 4 Plot & Summary The plot of the story is there are 5 children that can win a chance to go to the largest chocolate factory in the world by finding a golden ticket in the wrapper of a Wonka bar of chocolate. The children are all greedy except for Charlie Bucket. While the children and their family members are being shown around the factory, each one breaks a rule and gets into trouble. Charlie is the only one that does not break a rule. After the children break a rule or get into trouble, they are sent home. At the end of the day, Charlie Bucket was the only one left. He won the grand prize. 5 Recommendation I think Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is the best book I have ever read. When I read the back of the book, I said to myself “This book is for me.” So I checked it out of the library and started reading. By the day after I got the book, I was already on page 100. There are 190 pages in the book. By the fifth day that I had the book, I was done. It was an amazing book. All I wanted to do was read this book. When I got home, I did my homework and started reading. I just couldn’t stop reading. It was like I was in a trance. It had great characters, cool pictures and the story was really fun. I could not believe how naughty all the children were except for Charlie and I was so happy when he won the grand prize because then him and his family would not be poor anymore. I suggest you beg your mom to go out and buy Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Recommendation I think Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is the best book I have ever read.
