Hi! My name's KC and I'm a Sound Engineer, Producer and classically-trained Musician based in South Birmingham. I'd love to work with you on your project!

I graduated with a Masters degree in Music Technology (Distinction) from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. I am a certified Pro Tools user, as well as Reaper and Ableton.

I mix & master remotely from my home studio which is equipped to a high standard with a broad range of software/ hardware. I can turn projects around quickly- don't hesitate to get in touch to discuss your ideas, I'd love to hear your music. I specialise in Indie, Alt Rock, Shoegaze, Heavy Rock, & Electronic genres.

As a professional musician I have toured the UK and Europe performing with bands including Riot Grrrl band Dream Nails (as bassist), and also with The Early Folk Ensemble (as classical soprano and gittern player). As a Sound Engineer I toured the UK with spoken word poet Jasmine Gardosi in 2023.

Mix showreel includes: Ensemble Deridium (Folk/Doom Metal), James Marples (Alternative Country/ Folk-Rock), Billow Cloud (Electro-pop/ Alternative Indie Rock), and Jack Goodall (Alternative Folk/Rock).

I am an experienced Songwriter and Composer and my own songs have been played on BBC Radio 3 and Radio 6 multiple times. My musical intuition and songcraft is invaluable when it comes to Sound Engineering, Mixing and Mastering to help bring your music to life, across a range of genres.

I also play a range of instruments and am always happy to play bass, electric guitar or drums on tracks.

I worked with Katherine on my EP 'Polka Dots and Moonbeams'. Katherine completely put me completely at ease in the recording studio. Post-recording, Katherine mixed the tracks. She really took the time to explore what I wanted, as well as giving her opinion when needed. Katherine was easy to communicate with, and she really paid attention to detail in getting the exact sound that I wanted. I would whole-heartedly recommend Katherine to anyone, she was a very easy person to work with, communication was excellent and she was extremely proficient in recording and mixing the tracks!

We recently recorded a 5 track e.p with KC at the Birmingham Conservatoire, and what a fantastic experience it was! Relaxed, laid back, positive, friendly yet professional vibes. They really knew how to get the best out of the room, set up and each musician, without being pushy, overbearing or stiffling any creativity. We will definately we working with KC again, and would recommend their services to anyone!
