Anthony Scully Earl (April 12, 1936 – February 23, 2023) was an American politician and a member of the Democratic party.
Earl was the 41st Governor of Wisconsin from 1983 until 1987. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1958 and earned a J.D. from the University of Chicago. After four years in the Navy, including two years as a legal officer, Earl moved to Wisconsin in 1965.
Earl died of problems caused by a stroke on February 23, 2023 at a hospital in Madison, Wisconsin at the age of 86.[2]
