Suspected sockpuppets

Evidence submitted by DIREKTOR

One of the most obvious socks I've seen in all my years of sockhunting :P. User:Rex Dominator has created himself a little pal to agree with him and help him get me blocked. User:Rex Dominator and I have been having a tough debate on the Chetniks article, and he tried to get me blocked at 16:00 [1] and 19:24 [2] hours today. I responded in my defence at 19:56 [3]. At 20:35 (the same day! :), the User:Easy4all account was created. [4]. This account then proceeded to make a total of two edits, both of which are in support of User:Rex Dominator's accusations, [5] and express a passionate dislike towards me. Completely naive, but there you have it. Considering how quickly he created a new sock when he needed one, Rex Dominator may well be a sock himself, or a multiple sockpuppeteer. --DIREKTOR (TALK) 21:39, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hopefully you guys can trace the IP and figure out that this other editors is somewhere on another continent. I don't have anything else to say except that I am amused that another editor is pissed off with Direktors edits. Rex Dominator (talk) 21:54, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah well, don't be too amused. Its a sock all right, probably yours but certainly someone's. If its not you its probably one of the dozens of sockpuppeteers I helped put away. Could be anyone (if its "not you" by some wild chance, that is). Either way I wouldn't put much stock in a sock's opinion, I'm actually all heart :) --DIREKTOR (TALK) 22:05, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

While I can’t express my opinion on the all of the disputes between DIREKTOR and the Wiki World, he is definitely pushing his POV. It seems to be very similar to that of the old Communist Party of Yugoslavia (as well as their tactics).

Info from Music and Media-18th October 2005 “Jimmy Wales has acknowledged there are real quality problems with the online work”. One of the quality problems is, if I may express myself, that an editor or a group of editors can learn to work the system and then push his/ hers or their POV. I’m afraid Mr Direktor has taken this to new levels with abuse, reports and inappropriate deletion.

On a positive note the check and balances on the Wiki English Site do help minimise POV. Some of those articles pertaining to the Balkans could be a lot worse.Sir Floyd (talk) 01:30, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

LoL, you don't mind if we check you as well, do you User:Sir Floyd? In the meantime, make sure you come up with more "eloquent critiques" of my person. --DIREKTOR (TALK) 09:20, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Direktor is a pusher of diktator Tito communist ideas inside en.wiki, no doubt about it. I want to repeat what Sir Floyd wrote, because I agree with him totally about this medicine student and the way he promotes his croatian nationalism: "While I can’t express my opinion on the all of the disputes between DIREKTOR and the Wiki World, he is definitely pushing his POV. It seems to be very similar to that of the old Communist Party of Yugoslavia (as well as their tactics).Info from Music and Media-18th October 2005 “Jimmy Wales has acknowledged there are real quality problems with the online work”. I’m afraid Mr Direktor has taken this to new levels with abuse, reports and inappropriate deletion." Of course, I am not Sir Floyd or Rex Dominator, as can be checked now. And I want to repeat that en.wiki will be better if Direktor is banned, because a lot of fighting (with Serbs-Bosniaks-Italians-Montenegrins-Albanians et al) will disappear. His discussion page is full of these fightings and his edit page is a clear evidence of this reality, just read it from the times he showed up in en.wiki ! --Easy4all (talk) 19:35, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In order to show how Direktor behaves defiantly with many users, here it is what he has just posted in the talk page of Rex Dominator:Don't you worry Rex old boy, "my menace" is here to stay. It only gets more annoying and "menacing" as the months and years go by... xD gosh I'm evil --DIREKTOR (TALK) 22:22, 14 August 2009 (UTC). I strongly suggest that this evil must be banned.--Easy4all (talk) 19:49, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Easy4all, I take it your main interest in joining the Wikipedia community was to criticize my good-spirited jokes? Very few new Users have such an amazingly well developed opinion on the editing of established editors - absolutely amazing, incredible actually... --DIREKTOR (TALK) 20:22, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
To tell the truth you are the one accusing me in this sockpuppet investigation. I only checked your evil behaviour on your talk page and edit page, while reading the Chetnik and other related articles. And it seems unbelievable to me that you have not been banned at least temporarily until now. I will start posting on en.wiki soon, don't worry. I believe you are ready to attack what I post, do you? Definitively: Direktor is a provocative user and should be banned.--Easy4all (talk) 21:37, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I am "the one accusing you of being a painfully obvious sock". Even if by some crazy, wild chance you're not a sock of [[User:]], you're certainly a sock of some geezer I reported. How about defending yourself? I think I generally get the picture about your opinion of me... (LoL...) --DIREKTOR (TALK) 23:11, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, Direktor is a provocative user and should be banned. Honestly, I haven't talked to anyone here or try to enlist them for help. This user has made so many derogatory statements towards so many users that its not even funny. Please read look at his edits, and especially how they communicate to other editors. The guy has been making statements that I'm a sock or something. He resorts to personal attacks. Honestly, look at his talk page and how he communicates. Unfriendly at the least. He is also sneaky. For example, look at how he started to add ":)" and saying "please", etc, AFTER he found out about a possible ban because of his behavior. Wikipedia would be blesses if this user was banned for a year.Rex Dominator (talk) 09:53, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Honestly, what is the matter? This is not a forum on me, concentrate on the sockpuppet report. You should not be surprised if a user attacks me (with no foundation), I've helped block a relatively large number of people for confirmed sockpuppeteering, block evasion, etc... There are people with an agenda against me. I am taking this kind of abuse because I wrongfully accused you here, though it was obviously an honest mistake. There is no "possible ban of my behavior", and I will not stand for much more of your insults and attacks. --DIREKTOR (TALK) 12:02, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. Easy4all is a patent single purpose troll account and should have been blocked at first sight. As for other users involved in the dispute, I'd remind you that per WP:DIGWUREN sysops may easily ban disruptive users or just users often engaged in edit-warring, so much caution is warranted. --Miacek and his crime-fighting dog (woof!) 12:59, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Conclusions

My findings corroborate Versageek's with a few emendations. There appears to be two distinct sets of sock/meat puppets here:

As for Marygiove (talk · contribs), there is a  Possible relationship with Easy4all, but most information is now stale. I suggest waiting for Versageek to sign off on my findings, in case I missed anything or misjudged. -- Avi (talk) 15:54, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I concur with Avi's findings. Thanks for the second opinion :). Pls note that Group 2 is unrelated to Rex, but rather an independent sockfarm with similar nationalist interests. --Versageek 16:07, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

All socks blocked indefinitely. J.delanoygabsadds 16:24, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Clerk note: Tagged. Thanks for your efforts, everyone! — Jake Wartenberg 16:28, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
For the record, Easy4all seems to have used 70.90.59.74 (talk · contribs), so I think group 2 may all be User:Brunodam socks. Spellcast (talk) 14:20, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sockpuppets

Evidence submitted by Spellcast

I wish I didn't have to open this case shortly after the last one, but I've blocked Trout Fisher 03 as an obvious User:Mike Babic sock. A few minutes after the account was created, he tried deleting an image Mike tried removing (see deleted edit). His main interest is Serbia-related topics ([6]) and he's already edited Military of Serbia and Military of Serbia International Partners which Mike also edited or created. I'm only making a CU request to see if other socks were created (as was found in the last case) to save us future trouble. Thanks, Spellcast (talk) 08:03, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Clerk endorsed and let's see about a rangeblock, too. This looks like it might turn into an ongoing problem. — Jake Wartenberg 13:31, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
