To maintain dynamism in my studio practice, I am continually experimenting with new hand-building techniques. But my chosen material, porcelain, remains a constant. Its whiteness, plasticity and translucency hold an enduring allure for me. Its transformation from malleable material to vitrified form always awes and surprises me.

Ceramic Wall Sculpture - Inspired by coral reefs, as well as patterns found in the microscopic ecosystem, this eye-catching ceramic wall sculpture has cells formed via extrusion as well as hand-building; these forms are combined to create an abstract yet natural-looking sculpture. Glaze on the interior of each cell and raw porcelain on the outside furthers this dynamic contrast. Ready to hang; keyhole cutout on back of sculpture.
